That is an incredible group of Barlows, Al!!:eek::thumbup: Just fantastic!
(Literally fantastic, as in I fantasize about someday finding ONE of those historic, glorious old guys! :D)
Thanks for sharing the phenomenal photos!

:eek::eek::eek:

You have no idea how jealous you've made me today. :p

Thanks, Lloyd. I appreciate it! Hopefully these pics will help others as they go huntin' :)

This will definitely serve as a nice checklist. I'm still not sure I'm fully zen with jprime84 snagging that beautiful old Camillus out from under me :p:D but I'll get over it.

Do you have one of these in that monster collection? :)

Super collection Al, always liked Keen Cutter products. My current barlow collection:

Dean, there are quite a few that I'll be very lucky to find... but then a lot of the fun is in the hunt!

GT, Thanks for the kind words, good sir!

TsarBomba, your Cutsure Barlow was made for Kruse & Bahlman Hardware, Cincinnati, Ohio, in business from 1894-1962. Source: Goins' Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings

But by whom?

Likely Utica based on the construction, specifically the bolsters and handle pin placement.

I don't have one of those... there are plenty I haven't bagged...........yet :)

Thanks, Chief! And that is one fine bunch of TC single clips.

Jack, first from left in your photo. Its brother is down here on the bayou. I once put it in the tackle box thinking I would baptize it with catfish blood, but my better/wiser/smarter half said "DON'T do that". The only time she's ever cared a whit about one of my knives :D

hamsco, Damascus & stag are a great combo. Good-looking knife!

Some great information, MerryMadMonk, thanks! I will admit that I wouldn't have pegged it as a Utica, but that's more because I don't have many earlier examples. My only Utica-branded Barlow is from the 2000s, and it looks a little different now than its relatives did back then. I'm hoping it doesn't take another 5 years for another to come around. Maybe this time a one-armed jack. :D

That is some transfixing steel! How is the edge it came with? Have you had occasion to sharpen it up yet?

The edge is not the sharpest. Because I do not use it as an EDC, I have not sharpened it. I believe it is the factory edge.
It has nice F & F, and is centered.

That scratted ancient Barlow gives me goose pimples every time you post it.

Sorry my friend, but I have to say it does the same to me! :D

LOL! Very good Al :D

I haven't done a total Barlow collection photo in awhile. Please excuse the poor quality as lighting this afternoon and my skills are not up to par it appears.

Fantastic stuff, Dean! You guys and those Tip Top Camilluses are making me wonder if I'm searching the wrong places. :grumpy:

Stuck at office today so recycling a photo of some of my favorite old Barlows. Pardon the shadows...

Hmm. Think I lost the pic of the pile sides. Here's the same ones closed, instead...

Toldja a mammoth Barlow would make an idea '16 BF Knife. :D :D :D

Some years ago, when I first started posting here, I didn't have a Barlow. A very kind forum member told me he had a battered old thing to send me. That was what turned up  :)
