Battletrough 2013 is coming soon. . . . The Baddest Blade In The Land Returns!!!!!!!!

This is the LBNMSHBM. :D

The clip is not sharpenable. It simply aids in penetration and offers a little weight reduction at the tip for a slightly faster blade. . . ..

It is killer cool ! ! ! ! ! :D:cool:

And super awesome ! Thanks Boss. ;)

Pardon the newb question, but how does this sale work? It's has been years since I participated in a ganzaa. Do we still watch the forum for a post by Jerry on a certain day and time and then send an email? Has the date and time been announced?

Only 300 Special Limited Edition Clip Ground Anniversary SHBMs of each version (with choil and without choil) will be offered. There will be a regular version without the clip grind offered a bit later as well. But as many of you HOGs know, the "1 of 300" originals are nearly impossibe to find.

These are the words that make this decision so difficult.

I'm certainly NOT da bossman... But can tell you that the image in the Blade Mag ad has the SH Battle Mistress CG with no choil and an LE with one.

I can live without the unsharpened-Clip, and the low number, and Black Paper grips; looks like I'll wait for a CG/regular offering and Satin it after the fact if they aren't offered that way again, plus I'd prefer Black Canvas anyway.

Definitely looking forward to one...

Another thing I'm struggling with is that the plunge line on both choil/non is very similar, if not identical. So, you don't gain a lot of cutting edge over the choiled version if you choose non, but give up any benefits a choil would provide. I'm still split on choil/non on these.

I do remember seeing that, now that you mention it. That is indeed good news.....:)

I'd still choose choilless any day, even if you don't gain extra edge length. For one, you eliminate any possible snag points that could lead to injuries or death (self defense).

Secondly, here's a photo from Lastvisiblecanary that shows another difficulty that choils would contribute to when using this grip position and quite possibly other positions.....

Having a choil would really make using a knife in this matter a royal pain as it would decrease leverage and control while increasing the distance between your hand and the edge.
