BCCI Sambar stag 110?.

Got my BCCI 110 today in the mail:D. Thanks again to all who put their time and effort into the project, Larry O. especially:thumbup:.

Do I like mine...yes...BUT:foot:. It's a sheep in wolf's clothing:rolleyes:. It's not a 110! It's a 500 on steroids in a 110 body. I'm a traditionalist, I like the 110/112, the clip-point blade is the defining POINT:D. Will I buy the companion 112(IF made) without a doubt.

I'm not unhappy...I really do like the knife. It feels good in the hand. It is good looking. For me calling it a 110 will not fit...510(won't work either I have a Datsun with that name:o. I was thinking of Frankie but that seemed derogatory. Yes I need help:).

So those who have theirs and/or will have, what do you think? Preston
 
:thumbup: ...I love the new drop point 110...It's everything I was hoping it would be. It's NOT the 110 we are all so familiar with but then we knew it wouldn't be. It's about as unique a variation on the traditional 110 as it can be. Mine is rock solid and the stag scales are beautifully matched. To say it came to me "sharp" would be a misnomer...IT'S DEADLY SHARP!!!!!...So sharp in fact that I didn't even have to cut open the priority mail box to get it out. It cut itself out and was looking at the hairs on my arm when I finally managed to get her closed. It is a beauty...As far as the "upcoming" 112 companion that's being worked on...SIGN me up NOW.:D :D :thumbup:...I love that S30V BOS blade and now I'm looking forward to getting the BG-42 110FG that I sent to Joe for replacement and a blade upgrade...

No, Trax it's a keeper. I'm happy with it, just can't call it a 110. Here's what I did...I put it with a couple of 110s and a couple of 500s...it doesn't fit with either.(Could call it a "Breed" knife cause its half of one and half of the other but that's also not kind.)

DarrylS - I'm not sure that I wasn't half expecting a "110":jerkit:...calling it unique is the way to go...I guess:confused:.

I like the tang stamp also, that's unique.

I don't want this to come across as whining so I'll stop. Preston

Preston - here's what you do: Go to the Buck site, the Custom Shoppe, and order a *real* clip-point 110 set up exactly the way the BCCI knife is, except maybe a BG-42 blade...*Then* you'll have a matched set to display proudly... ;) :thumbup:

hi mike thats another nice knife that looks like some engraving on the blade on a kind of related line anyone know if its easy to buff engraving out of damascus ? do you have any of those great 110 pics with the pearl or buffalo?

When I get a custom 110 I have them engrave my initials and the year into the blade. I get one each year so it helps me keep track and when I start handing them out some day They'll remember who they got it from. ;)
