B2B,
When I get a custom 110 I have them engrave my initials and the year into the blade. I get one each year so it helps me keep track and when I start handing them out some day They'll remember who they got it from. ;)
Mike
mike if you were handing them out to us on here we would probably remember were it came frome without the engraving :D hint hint lol but yea i can see that as i too suffer from a poor memory

Those are awesome B2B!!!!
Thanks for the pics.
I was feeling sporty about my Potato 110 and 100th Anniv 112 I just got for $55 until I saw your goods. Now I weep...

Hay guys,

Can some of you post a few pic's of the new 110 for those of us still sitting next to an empty mail box.

HUH??? What did I say? I've been gone all day and I come back and I've got El Pies de Pollo accrediting me for saying stuff!

It was way back [remember Mr Peabody and his boy Sherman???] when the BCCI knife was announced...I saw a post of yours and was pretty sure you were going to order a "companion" clip-point...I see you already have it...

FWIW, I'm going to try ordering one, too...although a little birdie emailed me that the premium steel blades were low/out of inventory... :(

No, that's not the limited-production run BCCI drop-point Sambar Stag 110...That's the "prototype", which according to 334dave, was made by grinding down a clip-point 110...(I don't know where/who Dave got the info from; sorry)...

I expect the "official" BCCI knives would be slightly different...but not much...

We'll know when someone actually posts pics of one...(hint, hint)

Thanks, Preston! ;)

Um...Is it just me, or does that look quite different from the prototype, especially the blade???

I'm looking at an original 426 Bucklite here, and the 426 drop-point has a more pronounced curve to the spine of the blade/rockerbar; and the semi-hollow grind part of the blade doesn't have that "upsweep" towards the tip...

Here's a pic of one of 334dave's custom 110s...with a 426 blade...

The BCCI knife has more of an elongated 277 Alpha Folder look to the blade... ;)

Trax, I would think that if the proto was ground from a 110 blade that the proportions would be different. This blade is "fuller" toward the tip...I don't have a 426 to compare it to, just the 500. Speaking of which I have an older 500 and a newer one the blade on the older one is the same as the BCCI 110...I post a pic:D. Preston

Here we go...it was taken quickly, I hope you can see the differences in the two 500s and the BCCI 110.

Preston - You didn't say which 500 was the new one (and I have no way of telling), but I like the bottom one...the semi-hollow grind is nice and straight; where the top one rises up towards the tip...like the BCCI knife...or at least, your pic of it...

It's just personal preference...Like I said; the 277 Alpha lovers will..er, love it... :p ;)

(The pic from 334dave linked in my post has a 426 blade in it)

BTW: I like the way the spine curve from the back bolster to the blade tip "flows" on that bottom 500...the BCCI blade looks almost straight for half its length...

Hi All,

Here are some thumbnails you can click on of the difference in the clip and drop points. Front and back . Couple are from the custom shop and couple from BCCI via Larry O. Thanks Larry!!!

Pack rat - They are all nice knives; the point [pun] I was trying to make is that the BCCI drop-point is not like the 426 drop-point...at least not from Preston's pics...I don't have a BCCI knife, so I can't scan a direct comparison of the two...

I wasn't posting these in reference to anything. Just seemed to be a few wanting to see them up side by side (clip/dp) and I could do that.

Hay ratty,

Thanks for posting that pack of pics. You know i'm getting old when a pic of a few stag handled knives gets my heart rate up. There was a time when that only happened when I was out hunting or watching stag films....LOL...;)

I'd like to see them close up...like on my desk... :D

I like the 110 Sambar Stag nickel silver clip-point, and plan on ordering one ASAP from the Custom Shoppe. ;)

Pack Rat - are those 4 different knives, or F&R views of the same two???
