Well they've had the BK-4 for a couple of years now.

Guess they are working on the whole line.

Maybe it's the hyphen that makes it not a copyright issue?

You guys don't know what's good...

:D

Kinda strong stuff....I can only handle it once in a while and always in moderation.

I ended up going with George Dickel no.12 and Tullamore Dew.
Shaping up to be a great weekend at BeckerWest!!

I can drink that stuff by the gallon. I always overindulge.

Got a small doe last night. Got enough meat for 1 batch of sausage, 1 batch of chili, and a couple meals from the big ends of the backstraps. I would have liked to leave it hang a few days, but its going to be warmer than I like for that. It's nice to have some venison in the freezer again.

I heard carbonitride titanium is the devil's work.

That's kind of what I thought.
This made me literally LOL.

And good morning all !
It is wrong on so mane levels. I even have something to say to the naysayers who say nay claiming that the "Camillus" BK-4 has a bottle opener. I present this submission from Doc Canada in an old bottle opening contest thread:

Doc

Check and mate, you naysaying sonsabitches.....

I heard carbonitride titanium is the devil's work.

This makes sense to me. He had to figure something else out after he lost his golden fiddle.

I vote mod baiting.

that said, Tullamore Dew is pretty tasty as well.
I prefer it over the 2 more commonly named Irish Whiskys.

yup - add honey, shake 1-2 times a day for a week.
the recipe called for 1 - 1.5 cups of honey to a fifth of scotch, that sounded a little sweet so I snuck up on it.
2-3 oz on day 1, another 2-3 oz on day 4 -- at that point, the sweetness was about right to me.
the rosemary adds a little sharpness, I've also heard of using heather and/or juniper berries.

Thanks Vik, ill give it a shot with some unflavored spirits and see how it goes

WW I hear the Crown Honey is good, but yeah I heard from a lot of people that the Maple and Apple are WAY too sweet.

I havent seen the Honey in store here, but now im on a mission to give it a try. But Yea man.. Maple is BAD.... Apple is HORRIBLE.

I got ya WW

Thanks bro!! And thanks Mike as well!! Oh, if someone with a 615 area code called me, thanks to you too... Missed the call... I was prolly doing something genius like :D

Getting stuff done and things set up the way i want.... Put up a 6ft privacy fence around an area about 40'X40' up to my shop. It's the private yard for the man cave. Just cut a telephone pole to 12 foot and set it in the ground 5 feet with 120lbs of concrete. Thinking its NOT moving.... EVER :D Now running an anchor bolt into it for hammock hanging, and running a fresh water line to my shop today as well.... Got everything dug, just got back from the hardware store with the pvc and spigot and everything.... Work time approaching :D

Next i need outdoor lighting for this area... Not solar.... Area is well shaded intentionally. But not sure which lights to go with.

My wife asked if im setting up a workshop or a hillbilly party house... My answer.... YES. :D

She then asked me what i have made in the "workshop" so far... My answer..... Memories :D

Im thinking the next time i tell her i need a building to work in she'll laugh in my face.... Good thing im not planning on needing another for many moons.

How about a non-blend?

Talisker
Cragganmore
Highland Park
Glenlivet

Go!

well, yes - but those are scotch whisky, not Irish Whisky. :)
I have a well stocked selection of single malts I would be willing to share if you come visit. :)

Scapa
Oban
Highland Park
Balvenie (double cask)
Dalmore (cigar malt)
McClellands
Glenmorangie (Quinta Ruban)
Lagavulin
A'Bunadh

:D

Oh I missed the fact that the topic was Ireland.
I just thought: 'meh, blend' :p...

Had a tasting of some whiskeys (blends and malts) from the Breton distillery that makes Armorik. I was very pleasantly surprised by these French whiskeys. Some fine tastes there.

That's a good list there! I haven't yet tasted McClelland, nor dalmore or a'bunadh. Gotta have to check those out!

Here's a few good nights /evenings from last year :
