Well, it seems to be working now. I'm just concerned about how I signed in with a new user name (gmoneyluv01).
 
So I get home and my toilets in my apartment are backed up and overflowing. I call maintenance but their snake isn't long enough so they call a plumber, after making the mess worse. The plumber gets done but of course the apartment staff closed up and bailed precisely at noon leaving my apartment soaked and with a slight smell of sewage. I just got a call back from the emergence maintenance line and they said they'd call someone to clean the mess but they probably won't show up until Monday. I explained to the person that the situation was a little more urgent than that but she just repeated that they would call a cleaning contractor but they probably would not be out until Monday. :mad: Why couldn't this have happened before is signed a new lease last month?
 
Hoss, apartment maintenance is how I have made my living for years and years. They are full of shit if they arent taking care of you. They need to call an emergency carpet cleaning company to extract the water and clean and treat your carpets. They will come at 3 in the AM if you call them, so the whole"They probably wont come till Monday" is nonsense. You should put them on blast.

Literally....

In other news.... what I did today (so far)...

Used the Wetterlings splitting hatchet for the first time to split a few logs for my wife to burn to make ashes for the chickens to take dust baths. Yes, the chickens are spoiled.





Then I tried out the new Austrian-style scythe. Snath (the wooden part) made by Mennonites in Canada, and blade from Austria. I put a couple coats of BLO on the wood this week before trying it today.








Then it was lunch time and a chance to clean out some leftovers before shopping for Thanksgiving.



Pork sausage from Green's Sausage House, homemade sauerkraut, Long John Silver's hush puppies, homemade ice box pickles, Korean fish cake, Long John's coleslaw, a bowl of leftover rice and Golden Chick white gravy, and the last of the mead from my Beckerhead growler.

I will. I used to help my dad with carpet cleaning and the like. It was 12:30pm in the afternoon when I got a hold of someone and it's not difficult at all to get someone to do something on a Saturday. And for the most part all that needs to be done is come by with a wet/dry shop vac and take care of the bulk of it, which I told her on the phone. The office is going to get an earful on Monday. When it's all said and done it's their dime to tear up and replace the carpet when it gets ruined.
 
Hoss, they NEED to get it fixed ASAP. That is a health hazard. A call to the city health department will jack some folks up. If they fail to get someone there today/tonight, there are some fines that can be levied against the apartment complex. It sounds to me like management is being cheap and just wants to wait until Monday so they can save the weekend/after hours fees restoration companies charge,

you can go to the tech support subforum and post up what happened -- when you loaded tapatalk, something hiccuped and it created a new login - can they please deactivate the second account.

No tenderloin today, but I saw a couple does and what I'm pretty sure was a spike buck.

Destiny is pretty good. Just about the only thing I've played since June.

Well a legit one is worth more money, but for a shooter I'd rather have a clone. On the legit ones they made cuts in the receiver to reduce weight but that made the receiver weak enough that it would flex and the zero would wander. Numric used to sell kits to make No. 4's into No. 5 clones
 
put a couple drops of hoppe's #9 lubercating oil on the carrier group, and WOW! this is probably the smoothest action I've ever used
 
Nice. When I got my first SMLE I forgot the bolt throw was only 60 degrees and my hand almost slipped off. There's an old joke about service rifles of that era. The Americans had a target rifle, the Germans had a hunting rifle, and the British were the only ones with a combat rifle.
