Can't say I'm not curious as to how this series will turn out. I hope he won't be too biased.

Anyhow, there's some things to be seen in this first test already. Leverage, notably. Also, bad technique on the 4. Snap cuts would increase leverage and result in a better bite. Now he's just stomping too hard, not letting the knife do the work.

Poor table..
 
Running into a dilemma.... Been having fires everyday, sometimes morning and night... Not for warmth really, just because I love sitting by a fire...

But I'm running out of wood before I want it for warmth.... Prolly 100 or so trees on my property... Don't want to cut any of them... They're alive lol

Lots of woods around... But that's work...

My dilemma... I need someone to deliver a bunch of firewood... Already split... Build me a firewood rack... And stack it all up for me...

That's the hope. He hasn't had time to get wiry and tough.
I let a bunch of deer walk last year waiting for a big buck, and come end of season, I had no venison.
This year, I told my lease buddies that I was going to take the first deer that walked past.
True to my word... he walked under me at 6:30 this morning, and I took him with about a 30' shot.
Tenderloin soon.
 
Let me just add... as much trouble as it is to clean a muzzleloader, it's almost not worth shooting a deer. :p
