Becker Fall Gathering 2013 - Roll Call Thread !!!

I was on the Joy of Cooking website but I couldn't find the rockcastle chili. I couldn't remember the name of it either unfortunately. I did however find the Cincinnati chili which isn't as good.

C-bear watch the video as you are making it. Also, the version Erik links to is lacking the two other chili powders. (Mexican chili powder, and Chipotle chili powder)
 
Just finished this little project this morning. I haven't had much chance to work with it yet, but I'll be bringing it along to test out, along with a couple THK knives.

Well, they/it still looks great.

Starting the packing tonight as we are leaving around 7 pm on Wednesday. Staying with friends in Lexington on Thursday eve and arriving at the gathering on Friday morning/noon.

What's everyone else's travel plans?
 
Get off work, head to Uncle WeirdBeard's Friday morning. I'll probably need a nap sometime.

Or some 5 hour energies.

Probably both.

Trying to figure out what to do with teh Kids. Either I gotta find someone to collect them after school, or just bring them with me, and make'em take a day off from school.

We will be leaving as soon as gustys gets off work Thursday . Then we shall make the Twilight run to the half moon Ridge. So should be arriving around 9ish

I vote for losing a day of school. I'm sure they would agree with me.
 
I head out here in the wee hours of the morn, pick up Pointy, and we are headed that way. I'll see everyone when you get there!

Hell, bring them along. I haven't mentored in a while, but I reckon I still got it. They've at least tried beer right?
 
Gus - made a beer run for you & Triggs on the way home from work tonight.
I'll be getting up early in the morning, loading the truck and heading out.
Psyop has to work Friday so he won't be riding with me this time, so I should make good time. :)

Well, so it begins. Murph just left the house. He came by to pick up his M-18 that I sharpened up and some stuff I'm sending with him to the gathering. Its not much, but its what I had. Anyway, he said he was gonna change clothes and hit the road. I filled his coffee cup, fixed his collar, and kissed him on the forehead and sent him on his way. :D (just kiddin, I just gave him coffee) hope all you guys have safe travels and a great time, I'll catch you guys the next time around!

I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve day :D AIG is flyin into K-town tonight, the guest room is nice and clean so he can get a good night's sleep, and we're gonna hit the road tomorrow morning.

I say bring 'em with. Missing one day of school won't kill 'em. They'll learn more real stuff in a day with you, anyway, and I guarantee they'll remember it for years. Do they like pickled eggs? :p

Thanks man, that means a lot coming from you. I kinda just slapped it together at the last minute, but I think it turned out OK.
