Just got in this beauty... well earlier today but not sleeping caught up to me and I passed out for like 6 hours.. felt like a coma lmao

I love the knife itself. the size and blade shape is exactly what I wanted, plus its super sharp. But I have a hard time opening up it with my right thumb and im right handed...but I can open it with my left thumb, its just a little slow opening. I have read they need to break in, so hopefully it will ease up because it fits in my hand great!
 
You can probably loosen up that screw a bit to make it deploy easier if you like it that way. Don't loosen it TOO much cause it will cause it to go off center but loosening it a 1/8th of a turn shouldn't do TOO much to it but make it a LOT nicer to deploy.
 
I will try it thanks... I need a torx tool set first though

Got one ordered tho... I want to remove the pocket clip completely its just in the way, ill drop it in my pocket not clip it to it anyways and it takes away from the awesome ergos.

Yea I grabbed one from the river store for like 8 bucks with like 30 something pieces. I know the clip and regular screws are different sizes and im not sure what size so I just grabbed a kit... cheap enough.

I used to have the same problem when using the thumb studs with my 0560. You may be holding your fingers on the lock bar and putting pressure on the detent ball.

So, I keep sitting here thinking I should get some nice light burl wood to make handles for my 15. For some reason I want to put some nice light wood scales on there, strip it, patina it, and get a nice leather sheath for it.

At first I didn't really like the look of the 5/15, but it has grown on me a lot recently. I think I NEED one now, funny how that happens. Curly maple on mine please.
 
cold.... lol, yeah I've always thought of the 5 as one sexy sucker.. but never had one, absolutely loved what tyrone did with his mod job... I plan to make it my own but not extreme, gonna use it to sorta side track me during this moving process.. I like mods, little here and there, not like the daunting task of building a knife...

and I may even make curly maple scales for it down the road... :)

can't wait..
