My first try at making micarta and it came out pretty good, I used 20 layers to get about 5/8", I guess I shouldn't of clamped it down so tight.
Still needs more smoothing out and polishing up.

20 layers for 5/8" sounds like you clamped it properly to me!

I wanted a wireless keyboard and mouse and found this FAVI Entertainment Mini Wireless Keyboard with Mouse Touchpad , its like a qwerty wireless remote control... i can run the hdmi from the computer to big led tv and sit on my couch and run the computer looking at the tv.... i like it.... looks like a decent size.. hope it works ok, im only going to be about 6-7 feet away and in line of sight so it should be fine. it says 30 feet range or something like that but review say more like 12. also works with WII, PS3 and xbox i guess...

but i got it in green not silver

Took me 10 minutes to double post, and another 10 to edit it. They need to fix this site.
 
Made a little band tying jig today, for my slingshots. Cheaper to make up your own band sets, or in this case, tubes for my wife's ss. Nothing fancy, it just works.:

So, I just got home from Chicago. Well, technically Springfield. I was in Chicago over the weekend, spent last night in Springfield. I realized St. Louis will NEVER have anything on Chicago as long as Chicago has vies like this:

So most of you guys know that I occasionally make micarta or G-10 handle scales, right? Anyway, my neighbour came over today asking if we were having any work done to the house cos he could smell some kinda chemical or glue but what he's actually smelling is the micarta or G-10 resin which sucks cos I always clean up pretty well after I finish grinding but I guess the smell still drifts towards his house...Guess I have to lay off any sanding for while or do it in smaller amounts so the smell isn't as strong.

This reminded me of one of the tech support calls I had... Guy called and told me his wireless keyboard wasn't working. After much ado, and about an hours worth of troubleshooting, it eventually transpired that he didn't actually HAVE a wireless keyboard. What he had was a wired keyboard, which he'd modified with a pair of scissors to be "wireless." I attempted to explain to him that that wouldn't work, and made the mistake of mentioning that surely he wouldn't think that he could make his phone wireless by cutting the cord... Shortly after I made that remark, the call dropped... Whatever you do, don't do what that guy did with yours...

Junglas. I don't know what kind of hand they design the Rodent handles around. People without all their fingers maybe. Plus the Junglas will chop circles around it.
 
i honestly prefer the woods but i see views like these damn near everyday.... moan lisa effect.... nice from a distance but a bloody mess up close...
