Becker Knife Ideas

OK here is my new idea of what the bk bowie might end up looking like

made the swedge on a bk7 more shallow shortened it a little and pulled the point out

Bringing this back to page one. Got something new that I have been sketching up.

I like it. Looks weight forward. Betcha she's a good chopper.

MOAR BELLY!

It has the handle a little more re-done, and the blade a smidge modified. Thoughts?

That looks much better, imo. As a matter of fact, I really like the looks of that.

Very nice, I like both, but my preference is less belly. I also lean more toward a yatagan-ish style blade.

I think I found the right balance between the two. Kinda just going until it feels "right" and this one is closer to that then the previous two. Little less belly, little less of a pronounced arch in the top fore curve.

Specs for latest are:

.25" thick
17" long
11 5/16" blade

weight approx 1 pound 9 ounces

balance point is approx 2 inches from the end of the top of the handle, and about .85" up from the edge

saber to flat grind, although convex is always an option, I have been contemplating the flat grind for something like this. Not sure why.

Calling it done at this. Fiddled for a bit, took a look, and felt done. Very small changes from previous versions. Fine tuning really. Anyways, there she is. Not sure about a name yet. Going to be something fitting though.

looks good Derek! Could you try pulling the tip up a bit? make it a little less of a dramatic drop?? Just my thoughts.

It's a khukri! To be honest, the tip could stand to go down further, but I like it where it is now.
