Becker Knife Ideas

ha ha ha.
yes, the potbelly handle on my request.
extend the blade on the left side of the jimping (using the pic as left/right reference)
basically a longer beaver tail with more room to baton.

Does that make sense? My brain isn't always efficient at getting a picture from my head to my mouth.

that's fine man I will go back the te original and just make the blade longer and give it a similar potbelly handle but I will customize it at little to look more becker

on the color for my machete I what about desert or fire camo

back to beckers

this is my idea for a short machax the MINICHAX!

or if you wanna get technical
it would the THE MACHACHET

I would like to see a Becker version of a combination of a TOPS Alaskan Harpoon & Gerber Metolius. I REALLY like the way the thumb jimping & recess & the choil are on them. My photoshop skills are nill.

I'm a little late to the game here but often when I use other knives I think of how they'd be greatly improved with a Becker handle. Also, with those choppers you're making what i find is useful is to have the handle facing up because it gets your hand out of the way. It's a little more work but i'd prefer a tired arm over skinned knuckles any day. All in all great stuff all around.

I haven't got a potbelly handle but I wonder if there is enough material on the bk9 to overlay a potbelly handle and make it work. Maybe someone that does could overlay it and post a pic.

maybe.

any ideas for the machachet?

The best bet for that would probably be to get some flat stock, overlay a Becker grip, and cut out a rough shape, send it to heat treat and hand finish. Short of Kabar making one that would be the easiest route. It really wouldn't be that difficult.

I get that I was talking design wise.

thanks though , I found a nice site that sells O-1 in the size I need

and someone on here said petes heat treating was a good place to send my blades
