In on 1April....1600m in the pool yesterday. 6 BP. Hope I can keep this up as I started back working today, which really cuts into workout and fun time.

Another 1600m tonight. Not surprisingly on a Friday night, I had the pool practically to myself. 6+6=12.
Not to shoot myself in the foot, but maybe the swimming points need to be a little more in line with running and stuff.... maybe more like 4 BP for 1600, which takes me about half an hour (about 8:15 /500m). Plus I have a hot tub right there afterward. I feel like I'm getting points a little too easily...but I've also swum many a year competitively, so maybe the points are more in line with the wider world of recreational swimmers. Any other swimmers, feel free to chime in.

6 is good.
My wife used to swim competitively - like 20 years. She would absolutely kick my butt. I did about 700m with her nearly 15 years ago, when we were dating. We spent just over an hour in the water, and she went something like 2500. Kept it up and did my first mile swim in under an hour that summer. I've gotten to the point where I can do 1600 in about 45 minutes, and I'm in the "middle" lane at the Y. I'm nowhere near competitive, but I think I'm a bit faster than the average "Joe" off the street.

I just walked 3 miles in 48 minutes, which I think is also pretty quick. The fastest mile in that was 14:57, which is over 4 miles an hour.
A 45 minute mile swim feels like a lot more workout to me. Closer to jogging for 48 minutes, in which time I'd cover 5-6 miles.

3BP tonight for 6 Total for the month so far.
Maybe I can get one of the kids to go the the pool with me tomorrow...

Swam my first 1600 of the new year, and my first since losing the extra weight. Kept thinking "this is harder than I remember. I guess it's been too long." When I was done, only 42 minutes had passed - making it my fastest mile to date. Who knew.

6 + 6 = 12 BP for April.

Nice, TJ. I swam this afternoon as well; 4x500 for a total of 2000m. Fastest 500 was at 7:45; fastest I've done in recent memory. So....7.5+12=19.5 BP.

Got a mile and half walk in Friday evening and another mile and a half on Saturday.. trying to enjoy the outsides for a bit before it gets hot again.
.2 mile of step boxes this morning with my weights.

10.8 ttd

.2 of step boxes with my circuit this morning...

7.6 ttd

2.4 miles on the treadmill and 5 miles on the bike this morning.. 14.4 ttd

2600m in the pool today. 1000m WU + 1600m timed...26:10. I haven't timed myself for something of that distance for more than a decade. Thanks to all you Beckerheads for the motivation.
9.75+19.5=29.25 BP.

Hanging around the traditional sub-forum so much lately, I realized how sedentary traditionalists are, myself included. I'm not going to count the number of "miles" I may have walked during my 9+ hour marathon last Saturday raking, edging, cutting, and generally manicuring my plantation after several months of wintery neglect, but I will start with Monday, 4/7, where instead of carting my MTB to the bike shop for install of new tyres, I walked the bike 2.5 miles there, and then rode the bike for about 6 miles afterwards. Sooooo....

TTD: 5.5 BP's:)
