I will see if I can scan that for you. I will let you know if I am successful.

When is Murph going to make a BPP sticky?

i've been copying people's pictures, from here and on ePrey, and such...

eventually...

I have two of these and am very partial to them; one is a like new OD green old school version with the drawstring top and the other a multicam MOLLE version. The OD one lives in the back of my Landcruiser with all my assorted junk inside and the multicam version is my regular hunting/wandering around pack.

My only complaint was the lack of rigidity in the pack especially when loaded up a bit, I had looked and looked for one of the Eagle frames but was never able to find one. A thread here in the Becker Forum got me thinking and I ended up making my own out of kydex and foam…..

I need to make one for the OD pack as well now…. :D

Jeremy,

Any chance you'll be bringing those to the NE Gathering? I'd love to see them in person!

I will be bringing at least one of them. Not sure if I will have enough room in my Jeep for a lot of gear and the dog.

Nice! I made a frame for my black one so it doesn't flop over when I am taking things in and out. Not sure if I will keep it or make another.

So does it come with all the outside pouches or do you have to buy them all separately? And if so what does each smaller pouch cost? The one pic I found on Eagle's website looks nothing like these pics. And is this pack even made anymore?

The pouches come with that pack. That model is no longer made. The molle versions is what you are looking at. No pouches.

As panzertroop points out there are two versions of this pack, the original (now discontinued) version on which the pouches are fixed and the (still available I believe) MOLLE version - that you picture - that has no external pouches. Being MOLLE you can add any compatible pouch you like to the outside so as to cost that varies wildly.

This one here ...

....is a MOLLE version I have added external pouches to suit my particular use for this pack.

You still see the originals crop up from time to time on various for sale threads and e-bay at wildly varying prices.

Not to Highjack your thread OP, (just figured I should post this in the correct thread instead of making a new one, Seems a lot of people starting repeat threads don't know how to use the search function)

Greatest pack I own. This one has the hard to find framesheet. Not sure on the history, but this one has the drawstrings.

I wont go back to Molle after using this. Lol. @ internal packs. Movement, equipment use, and functionality are extremely simple with the BPP.

Yep, you got a good one! You're more than welcome to post your Bpp pix here. I do like some MOLLE/PALS webbing, Ethan's not a fan, but it does have it's place.

I agree, Molle Definitely has its place. Honestly, I added a Molle dump pouch to the BPP to collect Tinder or anything useful when I am rucking.

Frame sheets should be slightly flexible. That metal one looks like a back breaker! How much does it weigh?

Panzer, you got me thinking about the weight issue, so....
Thought I would mod the old one to make it a grill as well, then I could eliminate my grill rack. Then I realized if I made an entirely new one from flat sheet aluminum it could also be a skillet. It may not be very "pretty" but I think it will do the trick. The old sheet was 10oz. the new one is 18oz. BUT... I am now able to remove my aluminum fry pan (20oz.) AND my grill rack (12oz.). So overall I have reduced my load by almost 2#. Let me know what you all think.

Old sheet:

New sheet:

Interesting, mine has "F63" in yellow maker written on the lid webbing. The other couple are clean, no markings.

So, I'd thought about a frame sheet to combat the slouching(probably due to my typical overloading) my pack has been exhibiting lately. Just recently I sick a tomahawk between the foam passing and main compartment, it worked by accident. No frame necessary.
