I seriously have a hard time reading for very long here.
It just feels claustrophobic. Everything crowded together.
I hope Spark makes some adjustments to strip out some of the fluff and make it more streamline.
Ragweedforge has the right idea.
 
the original purpose of the web and html markup is to deliver maximum content, not form.

course, people want form too...

unfortunately, someone makes a choice, typically maximum form and noise vs content and signal. flash and javascript/ajax are culprits here.

as well, one tends to kill accessibility for the lower denominators, as well as those with hindered access. mobile browsing degrades, even on the latest toys like iDevices, and older device like web-tv, and text browsers suffers. those with poor vision suffer more though. not good times. however, with great effort, tweaks can be made. changes. fixes. progress towards the light :)

Won't happen. Spark noted that vBulletin will no longer support the old version BFC was running.
I just hope that he sees fit to tweak this version to keep the noise to a minumum.
I just posted about that band of envelope icons to the left of the subforum view.
Those things strike me as little more than eyesores.
 
I like the change, it is much slower on my smart phone, but all and all I’m happy whit it.
 
This is cool, but the background could use some mellower shading. It's a bit bright and stark.
 
OK, I understand change and it's need but can we get rid of this bright white crap it's driving me insane! Please put a nice blue or green background in. I think I'm going blind!:eek:
 
It just has such a harsh look and feel. I can't stand it for very long. Especially with a hangover. Tone it down and warm it up some, can't put my finger on it, but it's not as much fun anymore.

I'm still not too sure about this new format. It's a real pain to navigate around, IMO. I guess I'll just have to keep at it till I finger it all out.
 
I like it.

I tried the large print option (which was nice) but I really don't need it that large, so I went back to normal. I think my normal is already a little larger font anyway.

I'm sure we'll quickly adapt, even those who claim they won't.

I don't have a problem with it. I was surprised, when it showed up, but I saw the same thing happen to another forum I belong to...almost the same format. It's just like moving up from another Operating System. We'll adapt to the changes :)
 
It's growing on me. It'll be a couple of weeks at least before the main things are sorted out.
