Oh No! It's the blue waffle knife!!

back from Jopiln for the weekend -- man that town is messed up!
Used to be a LOT of large, old trees -- now from a distance it looks like a cornfield after harvest.
Just shattered stumps sticking up out of the rubble.
OTOH, the spirit of helpfulness and hope is impressive.
on e surreal moment was when i was standing in rubble, clearing out a house when a pack of Emo kids wandered by asking if I wanted some water or an orange.

That's America man. We might be a bunch of weirdos and freaks, but when it comes down to it, we got eachothers backs. Kudos to you for going and helping.

I got my forge up and running today, it has taken me a lot longer than I had expected. Banging on hot iron truly is an awesome experience, although I burned off a lot of my arm hair... :) I need some longer tongs...

They look neat and all but they are kind of over the top. I can't ever see myself owning a knife I can't or don't really want to use.

I hear ya. Little much for me too. But the work it must take to make some of this stuff ... man ! I like a nice simple, clean look. (Prob. why I'm into Beckers)

Simple Loveless style, Drop Point Hunter and I'm good. Some really nice ones on that custom forum.

Got up to find someone smashed out a window on my Jeep with a football sized rock. Took nothing at all since there was nothing in it. $320 for a some glass. I would do just about things to find the person.

I just got a new Wave, picked it up at Home Depot. The old Wave was allot more refined looking, kind of Shiny-Stainless-Steel-Victoranox-Killer-esque, but this new one seems more like a serious tool. The blades didn't immaculate blades, out of the box, like I remembered the last one had ( a few small nicks but nice and sharp), but they were bigger. The new scissors are not even in the same liege as the old ones, TOO SMALL! The nifty feature that keeps the blades in place when the pliers are open was nice, and it shows off Leatherman's miniscule tolerances.

All in all, the tool seem great, like my old stye one. I have all ready used each of the features at least once in the 2 days that I have had it. The sheath that came with it was nice. I plan to fill all of those little pockets with all sorts of handy stuff! As my dad would say, "Three things nicer, three things cheaper" I think it will be a worthy replacement of my old one.

As a serrate note, I don't think that the new one will fit in those tiny change pockets in my jeens like the old one did (it was a little smaller). The new one seems a bit heavier, but I don't have a side by side comparison, so only just intuition there. Still nice, though.

Nice catch Flexxx. I need to get out and do a little bass fishing. I love catching them, but prefer eating blue gill and crappie.

It's summer time, and on top of that Memorial Day Weekend. I myself have been going pretty much non-stop for the last three days. Had breakfast by the creek today after a 2.5 mile hike, had a nice cookout yesterday, and the day before I had to clean house. Oh, and I am a slave to that freaky ass booty. So y'know, taking time for that. :D
