Beckerhead firearms

I think you'll notice that I am also a huge fan of LaRue Tactical rifles...

I've got lots more but don't happen to have any photos of the rest on hand.

A guy at work just bought a Glock 42 so we went and shot it today. Very nice gun, shoots well, very soft recoil. The trigger is pretty good, not unlike a standard Glock but because it's a totally different gun the parts had to be redesigned a little bit and the result feels just a tiny bit better. He said he had heard they are ammo sensitive but we didn't have any problems with the ammo we had on hand, most of which was decent brass-cased stuff but he had a box of Tula steel cased stuff that worked fine. The other guy had two incidents of the slide failing to lock back on an empty mag. I suspect he just had his thumb on the slide release though.

Both of us also have Ruger LCP's to compare to it. The ruger is significantly smaller and runs like a top but is harder to shoot for several reasons and the slide doesn't lock back on an empty mag. I've always thought of the LCP as a BUG anyway and it fills that role adequately. I also think of the G42 as a BUG just because the size, capacity, and caliber. I would only carry either as a back up to something more significant. I would really like to put the Glock 42 up against Kahr's .380 offerings if I ever get the chance.

The only pic from today but at least it's something.

Went to the rage with a buddy last week. I am not an expert but I had a great time. I wearing a BK-11 a old school Beckerhead hat in the video. Watch the part that is zoomed in on the white target. You can see the air move around the bullet as it travels to the target. It is really neat.

I shot my pistol some as well. There may or may not be a video on that later.

Looks like fun!

My range instructor would say, "Do not break your position after the shot! Maintain your sight alignment and sight picture until after the recoil impulse subsides. Follow through, follow through, follow through!"

I need to get out there myself. :o

How about an old GP100 .357 4" BBL I bought back in the 80's?

I could never warm up to the grips that it came with so I replaced them with Pachmayr grips. I have always been a fan of Pachmayr. And the front sight it came with.... bleh... So I replaced that with a red insert ramp.
Oh, and a Bianchi holster (unlined). Always liked Bianchi.

It's a tank. Fitting for a BK.
