Beckerhead firearms

they should be MUCH better than a 91/30. in particular, often new heavier barrels, improved sights, and replaced trigger groups, not to forget the REALLY nice stock. love mine :D

need me some Winchester 1895 Russian :D if anyone sees one, let me know please.

I can't speak to the quality of the barrel, haven't put mine on paper yet. I like the sight picture of my M44 more, but the M39 has finer adjustments. My M39's trigger has a ton of creep but it's not gritty and it breaks nice. But the trigger in my M44 has very little takeup and breaks just as nice but it has a bunch of overtravel. My M39 looks nice though.

I'm tempted to find a sporterized M44 or 38 and see what I can do with it. Timmney trigger, bent bolt handle, shorten the striker spring, smooth the action. See how much of a polish that turd will take.

Seconds on the 1895.

Wow, those are gorgeous! I've always wanted a Garand, but the acquisition cost is pretty high, and the need to use only surplus .30-06 to avoid damaged to the op rod etc. has always "scared me away." Someday, though...

All of mine have come from the CMP however a quick check says that $700 is the cheapest they have right now. The ammo used to be quite a bit cheaper, but adjustable gas blocks are around $30.

Check out inrangetv on YouTube, they did a video not long ago about aftermarket gas plugs for Garands so you can shoot new commercial ammo through them.

Nice one!

Took some wheelguns out yesterday. Not even 200 rounds and I have a blister on my finger.

I want to get a .22 revolver (or several) but I refuse to shoot any .22 ammo until I can consistently walk into wal-mart and buy some off the shelf.

Found a lightly used Sig P320 on armslist for $400 but I'm kinda tapped out. :s I was really wanting to try out the P320 too.

Nearest Cabela's is up in Denver. Nearest Bass Pro is an hour drive.

So I was thinking about the Sig P320 and I recalled seeing one in the used cabinet at the gun store. I went to see if they still had it but they didn't. However I spotted this beauty and had to have it. Ithica 37 Featherweight cut down to 18.5" and they also had a used case that I thought would be perfect for it.

Almost 15 years ago I knew someone with an Ithica 37. I had shot it at some clay shoots and done pretty well with and liked the gun. He offered to sell it to me for $125 I think but in my youthful ignorance I wanted something with a 3" chamber.

I prefer a Mossberg for the controls, everything is right where you can reach it without breaking your grip. But it's hard to resist something like this.
