Beckerhead firearms

Almost 15 years ago I knew someone with an Ithica 37. I had shot it at some clay shoots and done pretty well with and liked the gun. He offered to sell it to me for $125 I think but in my youthful ignorance I wanted something with a 3" chamber.

I prefer a Mossberg for the controls, everything is right where you can reach it without breaking your grip. But it's hard to resist something like this.

It's a little akward at times, but it's easy to get used to. Also, I love the fact it a bottom eject

See thats what I am saying ..lol
I really want a nice CMP Garand, maybe a Mauser too, and for not as classic A Vepr 12, and a nicely made AK maybe one of the newly made american ones. Problem though, just moved to the socialist republic of Mass..lol and they just passed some new assault weapon thing so theres a hiccough at the moment with even getting those shipped to a FFL in Mass. I would love a nice AR but the AK is sooo much easier to tear down and re assemble, with less small droppable crap in it.

Silver, you should come visit me. Saw an 8mm Mauser for only a couple hundred last week, and an enfeild .303 same price. AKs out here aren't too expensive.

I don't remember what number it is but it's super sexy, accurate and fun!

VEPR 12 was fun, that's the long arm that got me into the AK platform. Haven't looked back since.

I need to get a Vepr 12. Those things have come way down in price since they first came out and they were worth it back then.

I know right ? Seeing them for high 700s thats a pretty solid price, especially since I dont even want the 10 round mags. 5 or maybe 8 is good for me. I can always buy 1 drum...Buwahahahahaha

Got me a new toy: Yugo M92 pistol.

Had a spare Ultimak M1-B rail, so I dremeled, filed, and throated it to properly fit the shorter piston.

M1-B next to the m92 original gas tube:

Dremeled, filed, and throated.

Had a few other spare parts: Hogue AK grip and an SB15 brace. I bought an AK hinge from Stormwerks, and because I'm apprehensive about tapping and drilling a new firearm, I bought a grip adapter and mounted the folder to that. Adapter is a whopping 7 or 8 oz, it's significant.

Here's everything mounted.

7.5 lbs unloaded and no magazine. Hefty for what it is. I eventually want to replace the SB15 for the lighter Shockwave blade, which should drop it down to just under 7. If I ever get brave enough, mounting the hinge directly to the rear should get me closer to the 6.5 lb range.

Nice Qeth. US machine gun has a whole kit, Shockwave Blade, tube, folding knuckle and mount for $200. I should have bought that instead of the Ithica shotgun but the temptation was too great. I keep getting distracted by the next project before I finish, or even start, the last one.

Thanks!

It was between US Machinegun and USAK47's adapter. USMG has been backordered for a while now.

ETA: I just checked, it seems they're shipping back orders now.

I want a few AK's bad. The Vepr, a 5.56 and a .308/7.62 Since from everything I have seen you can shoot 7.62 through a .308 but not .308 through a 7.62

Currently just a Savage .30-06 and a Springfield 1911. Slowly adding to the collection after my family and I lost all our firearms to a house fire.

I used to have a Savage 110 in .30-06 and before that one in .243, foolishly sold both. Used to be you couldn't swing a dead cat in a gun show or pawn shop without hitting three 110's, can't remember how long it's been since I've seen one though. I had a plan to find a long action and build up an '06 with a heavy taper barrel and laminate wood stock but finding a base lately has not been easy.

Between house remodel and a week trip to a contractor facility for some testing...so far behind.
But did get stamps in order, engraving done, and parts in...
A PSA billet 9mm Glock-style lower with Magpul ACL stock, CMMG upper, Konus (cheap) red dot, and Silencerco Octane 45. Can't wait to try it out.

I want to get a 9mm AR that takes Glock mags. Maybe the Lone Wolf. Wilson Combat just came out with one but it's $2,000.

Smoked 4 frogs with the S&W

you can transfer them to me, and i'll hold onto them forever and ever...

Stripped her down to work on the handguards. Good angle of the Ultimak's throating, nice and shiny.

Handguard was stained initially with ebony, which brought out the grain. Red oak 3 more times, it's not as dark as I want it, but it'll do. It's temporary until I can figure out what direction I want to go with the lower handguards. I shaved down a heat shield from another handguard and plan on putting that on as well.
