Gonna get my dad to pick up the supplies for this either tonight or tomorrow. Definitely need at least one.

Does a 1" diameter broom stick work?

That would make sense... I'll try to find a decent one or make one. Just in case it has fangs though, I went ahead and got the pellet gun out, I really don't feel like facing off hand-to-fang with it. Not enough experience with snakes to identify it by anything other than a 2/3 chance that it's not venomous.

I hear ya. I was so tired last night, I fell asleep in front of my computer, and went to bed at 10:30. That's unheard of for me.
 
Don't be too quick to kill that snake Oxide, most of them are doing you a service by keeping the rodent population down. Just get a stick or something to gently hold him down behind his head, pick him up there (close enough to the head so he can't turn around and bite you) then take him off a good ways from your house and gently toss him into the brush (into grass or something soft so you don't hurt him).

I don't want to kill him, I'm the most pro-snake person in my family (granted that's not saying much, I still like snakes), but I really can't think of a good enough reason to try and grab it if it does turn out to have fangs.
 
Just do it and get it over with. Stop being a baby dammit.

Not protein, it's a "pre-training igniter". N.O. -xplode 2.0 and it tastes and looks awful. A bodybuilder friend of mine gave me a jug of it. When he comes into work tonight, I'm giving it back. I'll stick with the protein.
 
All the talk of 22/45's and Buckmark's this morning has me thinking I need one.........

I used to play with the garter snakes when I was a little guy. My after school baby sitter had a ton of them living under here steps, so there were lots of them to play with.
 
I don't remember anyone suggesting he kill the snake. The trap I posted catches the snake and allows you to release it.

I hear that. I used to do the protein powder thing, but not anymore. My son is into it. I got lazy and didn't do my shoulder workout tonight. However, we're getting ready to go to my father in law's for a swim. That'll be a decent shoulder workout. ;)
