Not sure, but my Sig Mosquito kicks ass.

I found an ammo it likes, CCI MiniMag 40gr and it puts a group together rapid fire of about an 1 1/2" at 15'.

So far, haven't had a single issue out of mine, once I broke it in.

Its been my companion on quite a few adventures of late, even claiming a squirrel that was, well, being a squirrel.

BuckMark would be my second choice.

Seems there's a quite a few guns out there that you either get a good one or a bad one. I love my Kahr CW9. The only problem I ever had with it was because of some ammo that didn't have fully seated primers. Then there are tons of people that have had nothing but problems with them. Seems like you got one of the Mosquito's that is a good one, just like I got a good CW9.

I'm glad, too. Its my only handgun at the moment. I had to sell off the rest to pay for certain things, namely, my daughter's Soccer National's. I did put the effort into finding ammo it like, but so far, its been 100% reliable.

Sucks that you had to sell them all. I'd be hard pressed to choose which one to keep if I had to sell them all but one.

Yeah, well, price we pay to make others happy. My girls had a blast at national's. And the other 3 tourney's they played.

and now they can get paper routes and pay daddy back :) and do local sports like kayaking for which there are no nationals and catch fish :>

but you do what you gotta do.

I have yet to have a single issue out of my Sig either, although I am not yet at 500 rounds through it.

Hey everyone, figured I'd stop in real quick to say I hope y'all are doing well. Life is still pretty complicated, and I'm not lazing in front of the computer much these days so I'm not getting to BFC hardly at all.

My quick update is that I'm moved out into a nice place of my own, and STBX and the kids and I have settled into our 50/50 parenting time arrangement while the divorce crawls forward. Kids are doing well as the ex and I are working together to keep things calm and friendly. This big change will still be hard for them, of course, and my ex basically can't understand my reasons for leaving which is making things hard for her, but I'm getting my life back after being deeply unhappy for a long time so that's something.

Thought this was funny... my move-in was quick, and there's nothing like starting over to make you realize how many little odds and ends you come to rely on. For instance, a can opener. Luckily, I happened to have a nice Becker-designed and KABAR-made can opener handy...

Take care, and I'll be back in action eventually.

Anybody have an opinion on revolvers? The appeal of keeping ones casings in the weapon has started to appeal to me greatly. I know next to nothing about revolvers except 1) I don't need a hoss..something compact, and I of course want hammerless for smooth draw. Thoughts?

Why don't you need a hoss? They're fun to ride... :D

As for revolvers? Two words: Ruger LCR.

I've shot many, many wheelguns in the last 45 years or so  and when I first fired the LCR I could not believe that it was a centerfire revolver -- it recoiled like a .22. Something about the polymer frame absorbing the bite...I can't explain it, but I'm grateful for it! Holding one in your hand is like holding a cap gun, it's so lightweight. It's my EDC gun. The only downside that I can see is the cylinder only has 5 holes. That just means you've got to be GOOD! :D

I had a S&W 642. For as short as the barrel is, you would expect crappy accuracy, but that darn thing would shoot!! It had a nice smooth trigger and was easy on your hand with regular 38 specials. 38+p ammo combined with the lightweight frame kinda made your hand tingle a bit, but it still wasn't that bad. The only reason that I sold it was that I didn't like the coating and wanted to go with a stainless model. I never did buy the stainless, but I'm sure I will someday. The other two that I would say are major players in the small snubnose revolver game are the LCR that K9 suggested, and the Ruger SP101. Taurus makes some too, but I avoid them at all costs. They are another company that you either get a good gun or a bad gun from.

Which Sig do you have?

You know what sucks? Sitting on the tailgate of my truck waiting for a locksmith because your beautiful 4 year old daughter pushed the lock button the. Shut the door. Locking my keys in the truck in the ignition, while its running.
Sucks worse than that? Spare set of keys is in my center console. Sucks the worst? Wife is sleeping and can't get up with her to bring me her key.

Bonus: beer in locked truck.

I don't know about the cost of a locksmith there, but here it is pretty expensive. Getting a tow home where there's another set of keys would be cheaper than the locksmith here.

Smart man! I thought of that. Called and it was 85 for the tow, 65 for the locksmith...was contemplating the free brick in the back of the truck..
