Sounds complicated to me, but I like the octogonal bezel.
Gimme high & low, non-rolling bezel, and quality glass and I'm happy. I don't currently have any two-mode lights.
I like the octagonal bezel too, looks wise, ,but of course, it's purpose, anti roll. The BA10 is round, but the pocket clip keeps it from rolling as well. I like the simplicity of the BA10's 2 mode function.

So, I never thought the day would come when any place (other than a School or Airport or government building) would have a problem with an SAK.... I was at Youth Group at my church and when I pull out my SAK to open a bag of cups (one of those heat sealed bags that will stretch from one room to another before breaking) our youth minister flipped $#!+... I didn't even use the 1.5" blade, I used the phillips head screw driver! Then she ordered me to hand it over until the end of youth group and threatened to kick me out if she ever saw me with another knife there again... (all this coming from a woman who severely broke her own dress code 3 times in a row)

Anyone thoughts?

I could think of a lot of things, However pretty much all of them would get you booted anyway. But I would be damned before I gave up my knife to anyone.

My first thought? Pix of her breaking the dress code.

Murph, she may only be 20, but she ain't that hot.... Hell, at times she makes me look thin, and I'm a big boy.

I got kicked out of a few youth groups and every time it was worth it. Just sayin...

Jk huh. He lives about 20 miles away from me. Might take a ride over to his shop sometime and dent my wallet at the same time.

Oxide- like sky said i would never hand my knife over to her. The only person i ever gave a knife to was my mom. If she's mad your damn sure youll end up doing what she tells you no matter who you are or how old you are.

Time to find a better church.

I decided to mess around with my BK9's scales a little. They ought to be ready to go back on tomorrow. It looks a little chilly sitting on the desk like this:

It reminds me of "The Emperor's New Clothes."

On an unrelated note, I really want a BK1 Brute....

Sexy knife man, what's the steel?

My educated guess is O1.

Its funny how people think. Recently, my boss' wife had him take down a piece of playground equipment in their yard after the 5 year old girl fell off it, broke her arm, and dislocated here elbow. There was nothing wrong with it, but she wanted it gone. Anyways, tonight when I pulled up in their yard they had the 13 yr old kid giving rides to the 5 and 6 year old on the 1up four wheeler. All three kids were on it at the same time and there wasn't a single helmet.

Oxide - you need to talk about this with your folks so they can take it to the church elders.
If there was never a rule about knives, then she was out of line - if there is a rule about no knives and you had one anyway, you were in the wrong.
If she can't follow the church's dress code/rules concerning modest dress, then she has no business being a youth group leader.

Hmmm what to do at 8:30.......I think I remember seeing a big chunk of oak in the shop, maybe I'll go make a big strop since I don't seem to have one left. Friends make the worst thieves at times, I guess I should make uglier strops from now on.

These are my thoughts on this matter as well.

any thoughts??

Hmmm, before I can really give any in-depth thought about it I'd have to ask a few personal questions...

what denomination church is this?
and are you under 18?

As far as I was aware, there was no rule about knives outside of the school (youth group is completely separate from the school).

As far as the dress code, it was a dress code she wrote for the youth group. One of the things she beat to death on it was no tank tops, and for 3 weeks straight she wore spaghetti strap tops without another shirt on top... And when I say beat to death, I mean she threatened to bring sweats for people to wear if they didn't comply.

Back to the snark: I'm in the middle of reading a really good book based on the movie Shooter (starring Mark Wahlberg as Bob Lee Swagger, Retired Marine Sniper caught in the middle of another Kennedy level assassination/Nixon level conspiracy), anyhow the name of the book is Dead Zero, and is basically about Swagger helping another Marine Sniper out of a very similar situation to what he was in.

Edit: Missed this one, Sorry BCK.
