Beer talk

Growing up my Dad always had a case of Bud in the fridge, in the basement. The summer I turned 21, I spent most nights out with friends. Around this time my cousin would show up for dinner, about once a week, when I wasn't around. My dad would offer her a beer, when the only option was bud, she would turn it down. My Dad asked her what she would prefer and she said Sam Adams. Soon after that Sam Adams replaced Bud. To this day, anytime I go to my parents house, the fridge is stocked with Sam Adams...I was 21, 12 years ago!..and yes I have thanked my cousin many times.

Had my first Konings Quad. I thought it tasted simular to the Duvel but with alot more depth. Truthfully I like the Dead Guy Ale better witch I also had yesterday.

The local BJ's brewery just got in their pumpkin ale and a buddy of mine is bringing two growlers of it to my house tonight :D This stuff is like your favorite beer, and grandmas pumpkin pie all in one

Today, a very nice brew, Weyerbacher Riserva, 750ml, 11.4% ABV, it's a American Wild Ale.

This evening it'll be St. Bernardus Abt 12. I liked it, a bit sweeter then I like though, I think I'll stick to Chimay Grande Reserve when I'm in a belgian mood over this.

Tonight I had a Nøgne Ø Imperial Stout, this is a norwegian craft brewer and this is the first of their beers I've tried. Very interesting beer, pitch black, but kinda on the thin side, very bitter coffee and hop flavors with very strong milk chocolate, the chocolate dominated the scent. Pretty good, but I would have liked it better if it were thicker and less carbonated.

Tonight an exceptional brew from Ithaca Ten, 750ml, 10% ABV, BWSA. This is a very tasty brew, malty, some dark fruit, hoppy, nice notes of oak.

Another brew tonight. Harpoon Leviathan Series, Imperial IPA, 12oz, 10% ABV. This brew surprised me, very nice.

Tonight a very tasty, Jolly Pumpkin Fuego Del Otono, Autumn Fire, 750ml, 6%, Biere de Garde.

Tonight a Terrapin RoggenRauchBier, not bad at all I really like it, not too much smokeyness like other's I've had, 22oz. Bomber, ABV? Anybody else?

Another tasty brew, really surprised me, my first from this brewery. Cape Ann, Fisherman's Pumpkin Stout, 12oz., 6.75% ABV.

It's the most wonderful time of beer :D The winter beers are showing up on the shelves. Tonight I will be enjoying some Alaskan Winter (an all time favorite), and some of the Sam Adams winter mix pack.

Tonight re-visting a classic. Oskar Blues Ten FIDY, 12oz. can, 10% ABV, Russian Imperial Stout. This is one awesome freakn' brew.

I really like Budweiser American Ale. It is very good. Nice and smooth, with no aftertaste.
