Beer talk

I've got an 11.2oz bottle of Rochefort 10 tonight, and damn this is good. I actually think it tastes a lot like Coca-Cola. But thicker and tastier! :D

It's the most wonderful time of beer :D The winter beers are showing up on the shelves. Tonight I will be enjoying some Alaskan Winter (an all time favorite), and some of the Sam Adams winter mix pack.
Thanks for mentioning Alaskan Winter. Love that stuff!

Tried a new one tonight. Leffe blonde Belgian Ale. Very smooth.

I also found Rare Vos from Brewery Ommegang in a regular sized bottle for the first time. A local store had it in a 4 pack, wheras normally I only see it in 1pt 9 oz bottles. Anyone else drink from this Brewery? They put out some amazing stuff. Enjoying a Hennepin right now. :)

I've had just about everything from Ommegang except for the Cave Aged Three Philosophers. Very affordable and very tasty brewery.

Having a Fort Collins Summer Fling Ale tonight, 22oz. Bomber, ?ABV, I like it.

I tried some Budweiser American Ale this evening while installing a replacement hard drive in my other PC.... (I hate when that happens!!)
It was pretty tasty stuff.

On a more serious note, where should I travel tonight?

Belgium, France, Germany, Scotland, Oregon, or right next door, Toronto? What do you, beer gurus, suggest?

nice to see you guys like the Belgian beers

today I tasted my first westvleteren acht and twaalf
both ok (prefer the acht)
but still I prefer Pater Lieven :)

I only drink Bud when it's the only choice, but this American Ale is pretty good. It tastes like real beer.

You should try The Bud light; even tastier
:barf:

What are you getting to drink the night away for tomorrow? I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a few beers no matter what the results are tomorrow night.

I tend to look out for Leffe if I am out in France. They do a darker beer, which is even nicer.

I am leaving for Belgium Thursday. so I am going to make sure that I try to Duvel and Leffe this time.:D

Tonight a very nice IPA from Sierra Nevada Chico Estate Harvest Wet Hop Ale, 24oz., 6.7% ABV.

Back on antibiotics.
8 days & counting until my next beer...
Nice inspirations here.

Did some tasting last night, tried the Westmalle Triple, too wheaty for my taste. Had the Koningshoeven triple as well, I love their Quad and the Trippleis very nice as well, maybe a touch to bubbly. Finished with the Avery Quad (The Reverend), one of my favorite American made Trappist-style ales.

I picked up a sixer of the Dead Guy Ale from Rogue for band rehearsal tonight. Good stuff for sure, the initial taste when you first sip and then the taste after you swallow are so opposite you'd think it was impossible the two flavors to come from the same drink. Starts out real fruity and hoppy, and the taste turns to smooth milk chocolate after you swallow.

Yeah Dead Guy Ale really is good. It is one of those beers that made me say WOW.
