Beer talk

Westy's 12 and 8 are awesome, the best brew's around, hands down. Rochefort 10 and 8 are no slump's either.

Two so far today, both from Tyranena, Devil Over A Barrel, and Scurvy, awesome brew's.

Got a six-pack of Anderson Valley Brewing Co. - Hop Ottin' IPA. A real good India Pale Ale.

Also got a sixer of Carlsberg, a very good Danish beer.

The CW Glacier Trail IPA was pretty good, not as good as my fav. Bitter Woman. Picked up a few of my Favorite stout today the CW Coffee Stout.

As of late, Coors Light mostly, and a little Smithwick's from the brewers of Guinness.. A good hardy Irish Ale. :D

BTW, great f'n thread here db!.

Beer snob here. Some of my favorites are Bridgeport Blackstrap Stout and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, with my all-time fave being Great Divide Oak-Aged Yeti Imperial Stout, but I've always been on the lookout for Stone Ruination Ale and Dragon Stout (from the makers of Red Stripe). Anyone know of any in the Houston area? Also a fan of Real Ale brews from Blanco, TX.

I really love to drink beers...It's my favorite drink at all.

(( Great SPAM drink drink drink pivo khoroshoe !! ))

Last night a Point Cascade Pale Ale. A very good beer if your wanting to drink more than a few. Simple but still tasty.

I tried Sweetwater Brewery's Georgia Brown Ale the other day and man was it smooth and tasty! The malty/nutty taste was excellent.

Good Stuff here folks! Big beer fan here. Have been for a long while. Had my 1st bottle of Guinness Extra Stout after I got my 1st job in High School (present from my dad) and I also got one of those "beers of the world" things for my birthday that year (you get 12 skunked bottles of a selection of beer from around the world) I was hooked. I've also had the good fortune to work as a bartender in Germany for a little while & had the opportunity to range fairly far & wide when trying to please my palate.
I'm a big fan of the Belgians & I do like a good Hefeweizen as well as a chewy english ale. Stouts & porters are always welcome. I tend to stay away from some of the ridiculously over-hopped beers out there- I think it's a trend that will relax somewhat eventually. As for Stone, one of their field reps was in my favorite local (where I work sometimes) a year or so ago and we got sozzled. There were some serious beer heads there, including the "Beer Drinker of the Year" http://www.realbeer.com/blog/?p=431 and her husband, a beer writer whose last name escapes me... The Stone guy brought along a pony of the only Stone Barleywine available without a plane ticket. A fine time had by all.
Speaking of Bell's- my local just got a new tap handle in yesterday to replace the Bell's seasonal that just ran out- the new keg should have arrived today. Think I'll go have a look.
Cheers!

Found a bottle of Sam Adams Black Lager hiding in the back of the fridge. This really is a good beer that should be tried if you like darker beer. Yes there are much better but it is widely available at a good price. If it was just a touch less sweet I'd have it on hand all the time.
I personally like hops but do agree that some breweries go a little over the top. I like a beer that is easily drinkable for more than one or two. Same goes for some of the stouts. Some are real good but are too much for more than one or two, heck some after one are too much. :)

Stone Cali belgique IPA- DELICIOUS, taste and look is closer to a Hefeweizen, semi cloudy light color, citrusy and hoppy
