So it’s sized similar to the 35. Does that mean that main blade could be similar to the 35 calf pen? Cannot wait for this.

Now that knife I definitely need!

Or the UK dealer.
they used only that dealer last year. I assume you were able to get a knife from him but if you read above you will see that there were some issues.
Apart from not having a proper online shop he is not convenient for anybody in the EU.

Beauty of a knife! Looks like something to finally kick the 2020 forum knife out of my pocket. Wonder how it"ll do cleaning small game.

Affirmative.

Well, maybe, but I won't consider a long wait an "issue". And Germans charge 50 Euro for shipping...

I also disagree that he "bumped up" the price. I assume it costs him to import them knives.
The German shop charges about 17 Euro, the UK dealer charges about the same plus the import tax, for anybody in the EU,

Were you charged 50 Euro for a shipment to Europe by them?

The UK dealer was a lot better 3 years ago.

Looks great, you knocked it out of the park Spark Spark !

Hi guys, I’ve never tried to buy a forum knife so I have a couple of questions I hope some of you can answer. I’m located in Denmark, Europe and all the different posts regarding where to buy had me a bit confused.

1. If the requirements for being allowed to purchase a knife are met. How will the seller know that?

2. Do I just buy the knife when it appears in the online shop (Tools for Gents in Germany) as any other GEC?

3. Do I have to be on some kind of secret list in this Forum?

These are serious questions I haven’t found any answers for, so please if anyone can help a guy out it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Best regards
Jones

Pattern-wise, it is a chunky Norfolk.
That's exactly my thoughts. Not as elegant as those at Levine's Guide. Which leaves a room for GEC to make another Norfolk pattern. Like Slim Norfolk maybe.

Disagree with your quote. He states they are Swayback, which is also the characteristic of Norfolk/Wharncliffe knives. He also says in the quote they are "small knives" The 34 is not small nor appears Swayback and is Equal End (Norfolks have a larger bolster for the master blade)

Levine 1985. 157 see also p.128 for Surveyor Jacks.

Of course it could be that Bill H. decided to interpret the pattern himself and turned it upside down making for what Levine calls an ' unseaworthy canoe' :D:cool: It's been suggested that somebody could ask him, good luck:)
The excerpt that I shared did not reference the Norfolk at all. I don't think this is a Norfolk or I would not have shared the page about a swelled center congress. I'm not categorizing the knife between a pen knife and a 2 blade cattle, simply the pattern shape appears to be a swell centered congress. Small? What is small? It is a relative term that could mean just about anything. Please share the page # that references the over turned canoe, I woul like to read it.
Until we hear from Bill I'm sticking with swelled center congress myself. You do what brings you peace.
