benchmade mini ritter & large m-390

Indeed it does, my new scales might be finished up this week, I'll be sure to add those photos to this thread, and possibly a couple of shots of how the scales arrive before being installed. Here's a shot of my full size Ritter with a new braided leather lanyard and skull bead;

I've been toying which one to get. The mini or the full size. I've had a few full size grips in the past and while I think the are a GREAT knife they were just too wide for me to EDC them daily. Now, I wouldn't mind having a full size to use for harder work that I would only carry occasionally but I don't want to carry one everyday. Whenever I buy a new knife I have to fight the urge to buy the big knife. I naturally want to but I hate carrying heavy/bulky knives.

So...I just bought a Mini-Ritter. I hope I dig the M390 steel.

I'm just the opposite. I always choose smaller knives. My grandfather told me when I was very young, you don't need a huge knife. My fixed blade hunting knives are always around 8 inches overall, and sometimes smaller...
The Mini is easy to carry. I always wear blue jeans, and the mini fits perfectly in the watch pocket.

The more I use mini grips, the more I can feel the perfection of they EDCness.
Really! I'm getting addicted to them!

Looks good Gary. Is the deep carry clip the replacement, or did you already have that one ?

When I panicked after snapping the clip, I called and asked the nice lady if they also made a deep pocket carry version, she said yep and asked if I wanted painted black or polished, I picked polished, figured to cut down the time it takes to wear that black off ;) she agreed the shinier version just looks good and keeps it's looks where the black can be scratched and not so nice in a short amount of time...

and if you find yourself in a crowded area, just put the lanyard inside the pocket, it still is handy to retrieve even once inside.

I have more Mini Grips than I could possibly justify. They're like Lays potato chips. ;)

Well this is the real deal: the deep pockets carry is the best.
If they will contact me I will ask the same

That depends on how many of them you carry at the same time :D

I carry no less than 8. Just kidding; I haven't had a Benchmade in my pocket for a while now. :D

Just got off the phone with BM and they are sending me a split arrow replacement clip as well as a silver deep carry to try. :)

That must have been why I was on hold so long... :D
I just ordered 3- polished deep carry, 2- polished split arrow, and 2- black oxide split arrow clips. I know they send them out free, but I still felt like a pig ordering all of them.
No, these won't end up on the big auction site lol. I have a couple knives I wanted to switch, and a couple more on the way.
That will actually leave me 2 extras, so I guess I better be ordering a couple more knives :D

I just got more clips in the mail today, 2 more deep carried and a normal benchmade USA one to replace a bestup one on my dad's grip he doesn't like the deep carry

I put in a request for one more deep pocket carry for my mini-grip ritter on the way, I'd never ask for more than what I would put on the intended knife and certainly never try to sell any that they were kind enough to ship out on my asking, saw that thread, I'm sure there's a special place for folks like that...later on :( goes around kinda thing ya know?

I didn't call them this time as it wasn't an urgent need, before it was important due to the busted clip, but hopefully they can still send one out and reach me by weeks end, it would be great timing as the knife should land around that same time frame ;)

Yea, my old man is in the smaller knives for EDC category. His last knife was a Kershaw Chive and then I bought him a Mini-Grip. He loves that knife. I like bigger knives for the longer handle. I can still get a good handful of grip on the Mini though.

That's one of the great things about the Minis. I have big hands, and I have never felt I needed more handle length. The Grips are an outstanding knife, and it is cool they make two versions, because many people do like bigger knives.

Done! Thanks

:D

With this mini and a Vic Handyman I can cope 99.5% of EDC tasks.
And that's also less thrilling to sheeple/
That's also because I always avoid all-black look and go for colored ones. Also, they are more funny.
Still excellent knives indeed...
:D
