• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Magnacut and S90V in the two knives below. Wish I could convince Nathan the Machinist Nathan the Machinist to have either flipper tab or Spydie hole in the upcoming folder ....

Phillip Patton Subhilt

I've always loved subhilts. This is the only kind of "chopper" I have ever liked. And this one is easily as well-made as any I have ever owned. It is absolutely first class work and dead mint. Gotta admit I was amazed by it as soon as I opened the shipment.

But I kick myself every time I think about having ordered another piece that takes up an entire display case. I've been trying to pare down my displays - and getting this subhilt sure as hell didn't help me out with my grand plan of paring down. Will probably just love on it for awhile, then, as with most blades I get these days, see it off to another home. Better images may follow later....

Phil is a super versatile maker. There aren't many out there with as wide a repertoire. He sent me this bronze sword which he forged back in forever ago. I think he's one of the unsung knifemaking heroes of Bladeforums.
