America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.
Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I'd hit that!
Nobody here ever talks about Sleipner. Why is that ?

I asked Nathan about it once when I heard it described elsewhere as 'D2 on steroids.' I like some toothy D2, so I thought I would give it a run, but he described it as more like 'D2 lite. I liked it in the Lionsteels I had. What's that blade in your picture?
Its from one of our makers, Gollik (the larger one on the right). I don't have enough mileage on it yet to comment on performance.
I should have recognized it! The Sleipner I had in the Lionsteels was good stuff. I wasn't displeased with it at all, except I was hoping it would be really toothy like some good D2 and it wasn't. That's not a knock on the steel though, just an observation from use. I remember it accepted a really hair-popping edge, a very pleasant steel actually.

Nice !
Not a steel expert, but Sleipner has much less chrome than D2. Looks more like ingot 3V or Cruwear. Anyways, time will tell .... Thanks for sharing,
Roland.
