The reason I ask is because the website says the DEK 2 is 0.20, ā€œa little over 3/16 which = 0.1875ā€, so would that means it’s closer to 0.19ā€ ?

I don’t think I’ve seen a slipjoint with that sort of profile Blues Blues (the last one), damn that’s sexy! The nail nick sits perfect in the grind like that with it riding along the swedge and ending in the flat, perfect placement and execution with those transitions coming together in that spot. šŸ»

Jake, when Jerry built that knife, which either he or we named the "Scout", he did the blade as an homage to Randall knives he had admired over the years. I think you can sense that pedigree when you check the grind.

I believe I had introduced Jerry to Enrique PeƱa at one of the Blade Shows years back, and Enrique wanted to meet up with Jerry, (they're both in TX), to learn some of his slipjoint techniques. Enrique provided Jerry with the bone that is displayed on this knife.

Jerry's and Ken Erickson's knives are my most valuable knives because of the relationships I have with them both. Each has been a guest in my home.
And I also had the pleasure of introducing them to one another.
