Splitting some wood for my wife's Solo Stove Bonfire fire pit.

I've also been using a (one-off) scandi style WoodBear knife (~11.5" OAL/~6.25" blade 3/16" O1) to baton out some resinous/fatty pine kindling strips whenever I come across it while splitting rounds.

I like it! All of the convection air channels built into the design of the stove kind of supercharges the fire burning process. It can be a little hypnotic sometimes to watch the flames oozing out from the ring of holes at the top of the stove.

Good evening everyone! I was wondering if anyone can tell me specifically what kind of grind is on the DEK 2?
It kind of looks like a tanto tip without a very pronounced tip angle, but I don’t know the jargon for this kind of stuff lol.

I'd call it a Sportified Modified Tanto, it's a modified tanto with a nice belly. I dig it

ETA: It's also the thickest of the DEK series, worth noting.

Paul calls that grind (single primary tanto) that he's been doing for a while now "Cuvier" (Tiger Shark Tooth). I like that :)

I have been carrying my CPE magnacut with that blade style as an edc horizontally at 10 o’clock, and really like it. It is one of those knives you pull out of the sheath when there is no reason to- just to look at it and hold it.

The one in the pic above is magnacut too. I have another one in .25" AEB-L with a Fuller coming .... can't wait to see how that looks.
