Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

Got the new Architect 6.5 in Magnacut in last night. Pretty impressed for the cost and big slab of Magnacut. Something I didn’t know is when you go on the website and build your knife, it literally comes in all the pieces you ordered. You put the sheath back on, the scales on the fire steel on etc. Only thing on mine one of the screw holes on one side of the scale wasn’t drilled out quite enough. The screw was sticking out just enough I could feel it when gripping the knife. Pretty easy fix, I just reamed the inside of the hole out with a little knife and now it’s perfect.

Pretty sure I’ll go ahead and get the AK8 when they get in the Magnacut and 3V blades for them this month. Just need to decide what steel I’ll use for it. Maybe both🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks, Andy. Those handles feel really good, both in terms of shape and texture. It's interesting - both have "black linen w/brown burlap" scales, but obviously there's variability. Not that I really care, just pointing it out for anyone who may be ordering, if that's important to them. I also got the orange/black G10 scales for the 3.5 as I'm anticipating it's going to be a pretty sweet hunting knife.

Overall, they seem like really solid options for the price, and I can't wait to put them to use soon.

When I was building mine I put those scales on it and the picture it showed, I just didn’t like them. Got to thinking after I placed order that I bet they are all different and it’s like a luck of the draw. But yeah I actually like both of the ones you got.

Magnacut is suppose to be released on the 5.5 next week and I’m going to get it also.

I think I am going to get the whole series in Magnacut and sell everything else I have. Think for the price and the money they can’t be beat and I’m sure I’ll never need another knife in my lifetime. Who am I kidding, I’ll still buy other knives….
