Michael my favorite is the one Andrew has pictured above. I’m unfamiliar with Lorine’s names on his models but any longer I prefer smaller fixed blades that will fit into my pocketThank you Martin. I’m excited to be adding a .31 thick “Mr. Kotter” to that shelf in the Spring. ( It’ll probably see my belt more than the shelf ).
Favorite, you say ? That’s a tough one sinceLorien has an uncanny and impressive ability to make knives that are uniquely different and still say “I’m Lorien, who the hell are you !”
I love em all but the first is the finest, the second is viscious, and the third is sexy. Which is your favorite?
Right on bud. Yoko’s blade is the “Mr. Kotter” model. There will be a few more of those floating around in the near future. I’ve never owned or used a Wharncliffe. Needless to say, I’m excited to be on that list.Michael my favorite is the one Andrew has pictured above. I Really like that knife. Solid scoreI'll show some Lorien love. I am on the list for a "Mr. Kotter" as well, though I think I went for his thinnest stock instead.

With that thin of a stock..... that thing is going to scream through whatever you're cutting!!!!!!!
…and I’m sure I’ll absolutely adore the fatty…but then, I’ll feel like I need a skinnier girl too. This shit is never ending, isn’t it !?!I'm counting on it. I was intrigued by the chunky one that EMCEE scooped up (it's going to be epic) but I figured a slicier version would suit my everyday needs better.

I definitely relate to your DEK1 and 2 example. After seeing @yoko’s (many) pics and posts regarding “Mr. Kotter”, I’ve asked Big L to make mine a “work knife”.There is something... comforting about having a big ol' slab of steel at the ready. It's how I feel about the DEK2. I love all of my DEKs, and calling one a favorite is dependent on the day and what I'm using it for, but that DEK2 is something else.
You're going to love that chunky one, I'm looking forward to seeing it in action. I don't think I have any knives that exceed .25 in thickness.
I think it's awesome Lorien can make these thicker or thinner ....…and I’m sure I’ll absolutely adore the fatty…but then, I’ll feel like I need a skinnier girl too. This shit is never ending, isn’t it !?!![]()
Absolutely ! I just checked the WIP pics and there’s a huuuuge difference between .179 and .314 . So cool. How thick was original, again ?I think it's awesome Lorien can make these thicker or thinner ....
I think it just opens the door on what this fantastic design can be used for!
