Besides CPK knives, whaddaya like?

When I’m struggling with a detail on a project, I tend to make kwaiken. It’s a blindingly simple profile, and everyone that makes something similar has their own twist on the concept, which somehow makes that simple platform theirs. This is mine, with the latest one, and the second I’ve made while trying to think my way through this same frigging detail on the big project. 🤣

This one is in 1/8” CPM-3v. 4” blade, and weighs in at 5-1/4 ounces. I think the resin-soaked lace wrap dissuades a lot of people from them, as they mistakenly think it’s delicate, or uncomfortable, and nothing could be further from the truth. If you haven’t experienced one, find a maker that does them in a design or style that appeals to you and snag one. Guys like Josh Mason Josh Mason or BenR.T. BenR.T. come to mind.
