Is that Elmax and made by TRC? Glad you like it. Always nice to find one that ‘just fits’.I might have just found my favorite knife.
This thing just screams quality and fits my hand perfectly. I have been wanting a bushcraft type knife for awhile now. I love sitting by the fire pit and always carving on a stick. This is definitely right up there with CPK fit and finish.
Wow, blown away by it.

Nice! Who is the maker?

Groniger Knives. Fell in love with another bowie knife shape he had, and wanted a slightly more carry-able version, so he is making me a shorter one of the same design. Very easy to work with. He primarily works in 3V and S45VN. This one is in 3V. Going to be 5" blade w/ 'round a 4" handle. I'm going to supply my own handles and sheath.
Would love to see an EDC Bowie from Nathan and the crew, maybe even something pocketable. The history of the knife is pure American, and would be a great match for them, seeing as how they have done historical American knives like the Kephart.
Safe travels!
If some how you end up near me, let me know!
Love the Embers but that sheath is awesome. It looks very clean and the camo is the nice. AmazingI've been test driving this sheath design a bit before I actually make them for customers, but the (REK Knives ) REK Ember 3.5 is up there with my favorites
