Quick test etch on the first of 5 steak knives. This is nice (Salem Straub) damascus, comes to life immediately.

Big Chris Scout with 4.5” blade in 0.075” MC. Firehose micarta. Thin for the win. Great knife.
That knife ticks a lot of boxes for me. Great blade shape with a long enough straight section and gradual sweep to a pointy tip. Thin MC steel with a swedge. An open and maneuverable handle shape that curves down in the front to meet the guard. Yeah I really like this one!

Hell, even getting the primary grind that clean in a knife that thin is impressive, first thing I thought when I saw it. Chris is one of those guys who always seems to nail geometry.Right on. Thx Phil
