Best $30 EDC Blade?

Had both the Skyline & Persistence. Sold the Skyline as just did not like having to use wrist flip to open in. Spydie hole just works for me (maybe just so used to it).

Another vote for the Ontario Rat 2. I have the Rat 1 and love it. The Blade-Tach Ganyana Lite is also a nice knife for under $30 with good ergos and nice build quality.

I think you made a great choice!

Other options I'd consider (even though you've already made up your mind)...

Opinel No. 6

Cold Steel mini tuff lite

Case Sodbuster

Any (used) GEC

Probably can't tell that I like GEC's...

\/ :D

Lots of RAT 1/2 recommendations here, but don't forget the Ontario Utilitac II! Essestially a beefed up, chunkier version of the Rats. Just as smooth and reliable with the same steel. Fun blades.

You probably already chose, OP, but you might look at the Buck 500 series knives if you don't require OH opening. I like the 501 best but you'll spend another $5 over your budget to get one via Amazon.

I would say anything in your price range from Spyderco would do great. Also check out the CRKT Ripple,Kershaw volt2, chill (this one might be perfect for you.it is thin and light with a good amount of blade for it's small size.)If you can find one used the boker nano is a nice little edc knife.
I JUST NOTICED THE THREAD IS TWO FREAKIN YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NECRO POST!!!!!!!!!!!
