Best knife from this list

I thought you asked basically the same question in anthoer thread am I wrong? Anyway, these are all quality knives and you can't be wrong going with any of them. Now here is where the subjective opinions kick in.

Ergo: Recon 1
Lock strength: Recon 1
Fun to play with: PM2

Although the PM2 is my personal choice out of that list, I wouldn't recommend it to an inexperienced user, which it appears the OP is. Reason being that the splinter-picker tip is too easy to damage. The Recon in spear point or tanto would be my recommendation, or the Manix. No experience with the HK.

I've owned them all I like the Axis the best. It's middle of this pack of outstanding knives, which makes it a great knife all around. Very strong lock but not the strongest which is the cold steel. Decent ergonomics but not the best which is Spyderco. Good blade steel which holds an edge and has a beefy tip, not fragile like the spydercos. Best blade to handle ratio of the group.

It's best or second best in any way you compare all these knives but the others are best or worst when you compare them all.

For camping . . . the longest one.
I am not familiar with all of them.
The Paramilitary is totally excellent but I would go longer for camping/food prep (that goes for the Manix as well).

The HK Axis is not fun to play with?
The para2 is heavier than the Manix?

No offense but your questions are kinda... clueless? I don't mean to insult or anything but it's best to go watch some indepth reviews and look at the specs first or something

HK Axis:

Pros:
Fun to fidget with.
Solid lockup.
Good steel.
Less expensive than the BM equivalent.
Best looking I think.

Cons:
Kinda heavy.
Poor resale value.

Recon 1:

Pros:
Very strong lock.
Blade length.
Best value.
Good steel (XHP version)
Clip point!!!

Cons:
Ergonomics. The handle is VERY comfortable, but the pivot location puts your hand a long way from the cutting edge. Makes tasks like carving feather sticks more tiring than they need be.
It's HUGE.
Terrible for fidgeting.

Paramilitary 2:

Pros:
Great resale value.
Nifty locking mechanism.
Tons of aftermarket support.
Slicey.
Variety.

Cons:
Note as strong as the HK or Cold Steel.
Comparatively expensive.

Manix 2:

Pros:
Sliciest!
Ball bearing lock is quite strong.
Fun to fidget with.
Comes in a LW variant with Maxamet!

Cons:
Hands down the ugliest.
Wide in the pocket.

That pretty well sums up my impressions of all of them. My money? I'd get the Manix 2 LW or the PM2. I'm just more likely to carry them.

Ty!
I have few options:
Manix 2 s110v
Manix 2 lightweight BD-1 (how is that steel?)
PM 2 s30v

Which one should I get in terms of the steel?

I have the PM2 and the Recon. Of those 2, the PM2 sees way more pocket time, I simply find it has better ergonomics for me, and it sits better in my pocket. The Recon is a very good knife, but I find it too big in my pocket, and the way the handle is designed makes it more difficult for me to choke up on the blade for more fine work. I don't know anything about the HK Axis, but its from Benchmade, so it must be good.

How abusive is your abuse going to be? If you use your knife as a knife any will work. If you plan on using your knife to pry, use as a screwdriver, or use as a hatchet, then probably the cold steel recon will be the best. If by hard use you mean whittling hard wood or busting thick pallet straps or whatever then I'd personally go with the PM2. Right now they're selling a sprint run in cruwear and that's a superb steel if you can find a dealer that still has them in stock and isn't gouging the price. The middle ground is the HK and if you break the blade you can pay to get a new blade. Spyderco doesn't offer that and I don't think cold steel does either. But the HK line was just discontinued so getting a new blade down the road may be a moot point.

What kind of sharpening system do you have?

Japanese stone.
The how is the B1 steel?

I can buy one of those:
Manix2 S110V
Manix2 Lightweight with B1
PM2 S30V

In terms of steel which one is the best?

I'd choose the Manix2 or PM2 over the others for every conceivable task. They are both awesome knives with the Manix being a little heavier/larger. The finger choil on both will give you control and versatility the others lack. I also find them to be the most comfortable knives of the bunch.

dITTO

But I edc a Spyderco Gayle Bradley which isn't listed. Here is some info from the maker, Gayle Bradley.

S110V has the greatest edge holding (which also means a bigger pain in the neck to sharpen). S30V is a good balance in between the two, with good edge holding and decent ease of sharpening. BD1 is a mid range steel which is really easy to get a very nice fine edge but would not hold it that long, its a pretty decent steel.
My pick would be S30V unless you have good confidence in your sharpening skls to tackle S110V. It's also as ive said, the most well balanced of the 3.
