Best low dollar fixed blade?

For $100, you have many feasible options.... Say you could opt for a combo pkg of a Becker BK2 [$58-60], a Cold Steel G.I. Tanto [$23], and a Mora 840 [$12]. With this kit, you have just about all the bases covered....... Or possibly a BK9 and a Mora... so there you go...and still within the budget.

Good choice. I have an Eskabar in my pocket every day. I haven't quartered anything with it, but I have skinned coons, cleaned quail, split kindling, made feather sticks, felled 2 inch diameter trees, and cut my steak. The Eskabar can do it all.

Any of the ontarios or kabars..I'm going to grab an Ontario Raider Bowie for 52$...also a lot of coldsteel models like the kobun, gi tanto or even the oss are very affordable.

If you were able to get a Scrapper 6 at the factory price, no question, best bang for the buck fixed blade under $100 IMO. Been posted here lots before but you can see some of the destruction tests done on it on youtube. Scrapyard Scrapper 6

I would say Buck 119, classic Kabar, and I haven't seen it mentioned but an Ontario Old Hickory 7" butcher knife, theres also a few others larger and smaller in the Old Hickory line up that can be had for as much as a mora.

Also take a look at the Peter Janda Fin from KaBar in D2 steel:

(( deal-spotting ))

- 5 inch blade
- 1/4" thick
- full tang
- D2 steel
- glass breaker pommel
- kydex sheath
