Best slicing performance

The Spyderco military is a good one, as is the para military.
Though I don't have them I've heard the stretch 2, and police 3 are great slicers.

I lost the knife on vacation a few months back, but my delica 4 out of box was amazing. I wanted it to be even better, so I ground flats onto the blade until it was almost a saber grind, but with the very very thin (think opinel) blade stock I was left with it was a saber with the same bevel angle as a full flat. now if you can imagine it was the best slicer I can even imagine.

I think people are mistaken sharp for good slicer, I can tell you that my Rockstead cuts like a laser, but my opinel is a better slicer, Para2 is great too

Opinel by a country mile for me.

I've had edges be sharper, but the opinel still out slices.

Plus, the opinel is so easy to sharpen!

Based on the display in a recent thread, definitely any knife made by MKT. ;)

It's still....

I will never, ever understand why Benchmade discontinued this, especially after seeing what their new 2017 line-up consists of... Seriously Benchmade, i know you have a business model, but giving the Rukus, 710, AFCK the chop are 3 huge strikes in my opinion.

Anyways, fav slicers for me:

I cut a lot of thorn brush of my miles of hiking trails and I've used a lot of different knives for the task. One that is particularly impressive is a Cold Steel Broken Skull. It slices right through the tough cat briars and it's not an easy job. And yes I have many knives costing much more , but it does a great job.

My HAP40 Delica & CF Caly 3 (and 3.5) ZDP189 were my best out of the box slicers until my CKF MILK showed up. That thing is really sharp! Also pretty savage is my zero chisel grind Custom CQC-7.

In my limited experience, Boker Exskelibur I excels in slicing due to its thin blade and deep hollow grind. Even better than Opinel. The factory edge is too toothy, though.

My Emerson Mini A-100, Dervish NavEDC, Benchmade Mini Grip, Strider PT, Pro-Tech Runt, and both my Seamus Knives are all great slicers.
