Best value knives of ALL time

Thanks for making such a nice list. I've got 8 of these. Not sure if anybody's mentioned it, but I always thought the Queen D2 fixed blades were a great deal. The Fallkniven U2 should definitely be added to the list. Oh, and the Buck Alpha Dorado in 154CM. Smaller blades to be sure, but really good values.

Thanks for posting the list, a good read, and I'm sure I'll get good use out of it ^_^
If we're counting multi tools as true knives, the Leatherman Wave is a great deal for $60 (Amazon.com) It makes one great EDC

Best Bang for the buck IMO 60 bucks or so CS Spartan, big, strong, fighting knife that carries easy AUS 8a Blade, Tri-Ad lock, Nested Steel Liners.

CS Rajah 2 Nothing better for a hiking folder in places that have Coyotes, Feral Dogs and Mt. Lions.

Boker AK101 Never mentioned, thick 440C blade, liner lock that is thick, glass breaker and low ride clip. 65 bucks

Sodbuster=Win. 5 dollar simple slicing performance.
Condor HC machetes-hairsplitting edge, super durable steel and comfy grip for 20 bucks. Hmm... how about Condor ANYTHING... the Rodan and their other outdoor use knives as well.
Kabar Warthog, RAT 1, Columbia River Lightfoot=great 20 dollar EDC/outdoor slicers.
Buck Packlite Skinner-US made and perfect fixed blade slicer.
Tramontina machete=6 dollar bushmaster, enough said.
Buck Daimondback Outfitter=25 dollar belt knife-practical blade design, construction and ergonomics, made in USA.
Becker, period.

Schrade USA Old Timer series, inexpensive, great carbon steel, and great quality for the money.

No doubt and also any knives that came out of the US Camillus facilities. They have made knives for so many brands and they are all good (and inexpensive).

Fred Carter Gigand.

I think I found this, looks nice! Do you own one?

No problem! I added the Queen D2 fixed blades. Fallkniven U2 is a little expensive for the list, no? Alpha Dorado is definitely the cheapest folder I've seen with 154CM, added.

Leatherman multitools are definitely excellent value (I have a Squirt P4) but I'm gonna keep this to blades only for now.

There are some really good knives on that list.

and you didn't have to pay $500 to get them!

Added the Boker AK 101, those other knives are like pocket swords :O

 Lots of win in this reply! Added the Imperial Sodbuster (Which I didn't know existed til now), Condor Machete, Ka-Bar Warthog, and Buck Paklite Skinner. You know good value, sir.

Schrade USA Old Timer series, inexpensive, great carbon steel, and great quality for the money.

They don't make USA Old Timers any more do they?

Well, I only own three. Shameful, shameful performance on my part. :o

In all seriousness, thanks for the list. I've already saved it on the hard drive. :D

Your welcome, I figured people would appreciate my obsessive list making habits ;)

no one has mentioned the Ontario rat-1 for $25?

Under fixed, ranger RAK, if you get paracord version, its like $45.

I got the Rat-1 in there under $30, thats the cheapest I could find it. I think I paid like $31 shipped. Added the Ranger RAK

Sorry I missed it, its $26 at crks and for a long time they had it for $25 with cheap shipping, so I just looked under $25...

looks decent other than the steel choice, have you personally used it?

I own one; it is my current hunting/survival knife, and it's the best one I have had. I bought it brand new last fall. Have used it some, (but will do more once the weather quits being crap where I am) and it seems to be a dang good knife. From my research 8CR14 is comparable to AUS8.

Did we cover them all? I'm seein plenty of Spyderco, Boker, Kershaw, Buck, and Ka-Bar

Volcan Coronado at $27 is a great value. Distinctive and inspired design, decent material (AUS-8 blade), and excellent fit & finish.

You can pick up any Cold Steel 12 inch machete for $15 now...pretty great value imo.
And what about a Sog Seal Pup at $60?
