Best value knives of ALL time

I'll add the DDR HTM line gunhammer folders. At $325 for a handground with 3D inlay you can't lose.

My vote for the best knife value would be the Brazilian machete. You get a lot of performance for a couple of bucks.

I'm a big fan of Benchmade's offerings for folding knives. They have a bunch that are under 50 dollars, such as the Monochrome, and they've never let me down.

Kabar - Large Heavy Bowie Knife

Ultimate value in large survival fixed blade

$55

:thumbup::thumbup: on the Buck 110

If it wasn't mentioned, Kershaws "Needs Work" for around $30

Fixed - Boker Magnum Highlands Ranger for under 30$, full tang and micarta scales, kydex sheath and wicked looking blade, it has become my regular work pony at my duty belt.

+1 for a lot of knives in here. For the Colt 286 posted earlier, you can get it for under 23$ at bladematrix.tv (I'm gonna pull the trigger on this one), and the Boker Ranger for under 24$, lots of good deals on that page.

Best piece of steel I have ever owed for under 20 dollars is the real peasant knife from New Zealand in L6 .

Back in the day, Spyderco's retailers used to discount the discontinued models as soon as Spyderco made the announcement that they'd be disco'd from the next year's catalog. This (of course) is no longer done. But back in the day it was a feeding frenzy for those of us that knew the deal. I picked up many models that were mint in box for a song. Too many to count. Discounts on Spydies are rare now. Almost non-exsistant. One time at a flea market, I asked about a NIB/NOS Shabaria and was told it was 35 bucks. I nonchalantly got the money out and made the purchase, then high fived anyone who'd listen for the next few hours. That was my last real and true Spyderco "steal". The market has caught up and it's wise to the value of Spyderco knives. Too bad. As Edith and Archie used to say... Those were the days.... :p

The Vic Solider/pioneer around $30 and it will give you a life time of service. Mine is 15 years old and if you ignore some scratches on the main blade you’d be hard pressed to tell, everything still opens and closes with a snap and suffers from no blade play side to side or up.

Of course, there will never be a perfect list. But, I was suprised that the Bob Dozier's Thorn did not make it. One of the best designs, and top drawer construction with the light weight aluminum scales. If you can find one, you would pay about $100; better than double the original price. The Spyderco Co-Pilot was conspicuously absent, as well.
