I live in a very corrosive environment close to the Everglades. If I’m using the knife for food prep, I’ll use mineral oil. Otherwise I use WD-40 Corrosion Inhibitor. It performed well in corrosion testing at REK Knives

Unfortunately, when yoko was young, crayons had lead in them...

I use a combination of Boeshield T9 and Renaissance Wax, mostly because they’re what I use in the woodshop.

Oh, and obenaufs LP! Wouldn’t be without that stuff.

I have never seen any rust, or for that fact wear, with a liberal application of Astroglide, and it is food safe.
