I'm trying to cut down on beer.
Ezra really bent the edges back on this stuff.

It's noon partner, better pump the brakes~!Wow! We got the same tastes! Sipping on Jim Beam now, with WT101 on standby!
Agreed, Taylor!Sonoma Springs makes some great beers! Fantastic photo!
My home town, whenever I go visit my folks I bring a growler (or two) and stock up!Sonoma Springs makes some great beers! Fantastic photo!
Thanks for the explanation, Dwight! That's mighty high praise GT. The surface of the rock upon which the knives are resting is about 2 feet above the ground. It weighs 900 lbs and is in the shape of the number "1". I have hauled several such stones from miles away to serve as "park benches". These and similar foolish activities are the source of my shoulder problems I imagine. But I digress. As for the photos, most every pic is taken with my i-phone which is why the lens sets so low. Until recently I used Nikon equipment with high end lenses but the newer smart phone cameras seem to achieve the same results. Thanks again for your kind observations.![]()
Yes, Dylan, it is a good quaff. I like Budweiser (and Miller High Life for my daily non-craft American lager) and I like Jim Beam (Beam regular when I'm drinking at a bar, Black Label at home, though Wild Turkey 101 is my regular at home). That said, I do like this malty lager for its smooth finish. Oh, and it's 6.2% abv.

p.s. I do not drink "lite" beers for religious, moral, patriotic, and health reasons, and as matter of self-awareness. I, also, do not drink low-fat buttermilk, whatever the hell that is.
Dwight, you are so correct about Dylan's photos! But you, sir, are in that same pantheon of premier photographers as Dylan!
Here's something that puzzles me about many of your recent pics, especially those with the misty treeline in the background. Where is the camera positioned?? The knives often seem to be on a relatively low stone or stump, almost at ground level, but the camera seems to be "looking up" at the knife!?! Are you lying on the ground taking your pics? (No wonder your shoulders hurt!!
) Or have you dug a below-ground photo bunker you can stand in and keep your camera below the knife? Fabulous fotos, whatever magic you use!

Not my usual style, but as a Maiden fan I couldn’t resist trying it out. A tasty English golden ale, I enjoyed it....

Nice choice, Jer, I'm a big fan of rye. This one's pretty good.

I am sipping some Jim Beam Black Label now, but earlier had some "Beam beer":

That’s fantastic Dylan! I can never seem to find the time or tickets. I haven’t been to any concerts since 2009. And, as I’m sure you know, don’t bring any knives.... I learned that one the hard way in the 90’s.Coming from a fellow Maiden fan, I applaud your beer choice, sir. I tried one of their Belgians a little while back at a local pub, it was pretty decent. Speaking of Iron Maiden, I will be seeing them next year. Already bought the tickets.
I think Old Hickory would have approved of this bourbon (the glass is a souvenir from The Hermitage).
