Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

This was the last bottle on the shelf and I had never seen it before, it's getting hard to find bourbon with an age statement. It's not as hot as you expect a 117 proof to be, a very nice pour at $43. If i run into another bottle it will follow me home:thumbsup:

Can't get that over here, looks interesting and that's some strength 58.5% Moonshine level :D:eek:

I'll have to try that sometime. I frequently buy one for my daughter when I go to the liquor store. She loves it. I like that it has cane sugar instead of corn syrup.
I wish I could get it locally. About an hour drive across the river to Tennessee to get it.
Really good cherry soda. Extra carbonated and real sugar

I like a drink and don't mind who knows it, but don't like people who go mad with it and we've all come across them... Soft drinks have never much appealed, too sweet or artificial, but don't mind Tonic with Gin, or Ginger-Beer or Ginger-Ale with Bourbon:D tried some American Root-Beer made with cane sugar some weeks back THE MOST horrible thing I've tasted (not tried Energy Drink though and not trying them either;))

Let's not forget tea or coffee, certainly can't survive without them but I'm very particular, find most stuff you buy in cafes inferior to what you make at home but it's nice to sit and watch people or chat with friends etc in cafes. Been shocked by hearing things here and from reading British newspapers, people making tea in mugs!!:eek: Got to be in a pot to taste decent:D George Orwell wrote a lot of brilliant and thought provoking essays, but a light hearted favourite of mine is "A Nice Cup of Tea" (also in "Defence of English Cooking") in both Orwell demands authenticity and tea must be strong, very much agree. My taste is for extremely strong tea Assam type or Yorkshire Gold, brewed 5 mins in the pot dark rich mahogany colour, add teaspoon of honey and I'm lactose intolerant so in goes lactose free full cream milk-tinned milk is good too:thumbsup: As for coffee, this country prides itself on high coffee consumption but frankly, most is dishwater weak yet bitter tasting as it's light roast:poop: Grind my own beans, it ensures freshness and is a lot cheaper too. Like espresso strength but 30-60cl at a time, half to one pint, no wonder constipation has never beset me ;):D Super strength dark roast but with milk and a very small amount of sugar, already looking forward to morning coffee, but not getting up...:D

Ok, but the American one was the best of the 3 I've had Taylor

Such a great knife :) I have a large bottle of the strong Nigerian Guinness lined up for when I fall off the waggon ;) :D
Sounds good to me Jack!!! Yea I have yet come to bring myself to using the darn thing. I carry it often though!

Queenie and I toast the end of Mike's GAW challenge with a Yuengling Light (the only "lite" that I like). It's been a fun run with the congressional Queen. BTW, the Yuengling normally has a proud foamy head, but I left my phone downstairs from the photo spot and it had retired by the time I reappeared. Still tasty.
