I went to a large warehouse store yesterday and all was well - crowded, but civil, some shortages, but plenty of paper goods, wine, meat and cheeses (though no bleach). Today, looking at my neighborhood email listserve, it was First World angst - "no organic goat milk, no rain forest-safe toilet paper". Jeez!! I had to repair to the den to savor a Quarantini and assess moral support.

When I decided to spend Lent (or strictly speaking, Pancake Day to my birthday on 30th March), I forgot about Saint Patrick's Day :( Also didn't realise the bloody pubs were going to be shut by the time I fell back off the wagon!! o_O Just having my morning coffee, but I think the only 'Irish' I'm going to see today is this Listowel-made Jowika Stockman :( Have a Happy Saint Patrick's Day folks :thumbsup:
