How did that far-beyond-shelf-life Oberon turn out, Todd? This is one I enjoy from time to time. View attachment 1736468This bottle was left over from the last 6-pack I bought of this beer. We’ll see how it tastes. View attachment 1736467
It tasted just fine Gary. I’m sure the dates make a difference, but I don’t think my palate is the discerning. Some replies I intended to post more than a week ago, but I apparently only did so in my mind!![]()
Thank you, sir.
I only have a couple of those "Mason jar with a handle" mugs (although I think they're fairly easy to find and quite inexpensive). One I keep in the freezer and use every evening for my supper beverage, and the other we keep in our box of "kitchen stuff" that we take on vacation with us each year. What I like most about the mug is that if I decide I can have one more beer, and change my mind after pouring it, I can screw a lid on the top of the mug, put it in the fridge, and enjoy it the next day without it going flat!

I'm not a big fan of Oberon, but my daughter really likes it "in season".
Coincidentally, the day you posted that photo, I had searched the pantry for a "change of pace" lunch choice, and made some tuna salad for sandwiches using a can of tuna I found dated 2002. Turned out great; that must have been a good year for tuna!!
Here's another of my gift stouts from Christmas. This one was excellent IMHO! On the day I drank it, I really appreciated the "rich full-bodied drinking experience with dark hints of Old World style" that the label promised. And, as is usually the case with Russian Imperial Stouts, it packs quite an ABV punch (9% IIRC)!

You should also try Kyrö Distillery Gin!I do not usually like gin - this, however, is most excellent!

Magnificent pocket cutlery and photography as always, Dylan!
I do like gin, but have never tried that one. I’ll have to rectify that some day. Thanks for the tip.![]()

Thank you for the tip! I will definitely keep a look out for it.
An American Single Malt for me this fine evening.

John, you are a master of restraint! I haven't had that one in a while, but there was a time when it was among my favorites! Enjoy and savor that last one.
You are too kind, Greg.John, you are a master of restraint! I haven't had that one in a while, but there was a time when it was among my favorites! Enjoy and savor that last one.
