  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

I remember the first time I tried that beer. It was at the Kessler theater in Dallas waiting for James McMurtry to take the stage.

So we’re the Fritos from the Irving plant? The bigger question is were there beans in that? Any Texan should always know the correct answer to the bean no bean question. 🤣
oh, my.... no beans, of course....
I never found any Fritos.... three different stores, no joy.
It's difficult to imagine.... I used to live in Lubbock, where they made Fritos... I'm changing my theory from conspiracy to communist plot...

We have resorted to getting the variety pack snack packs just to get some. Haven’t seen any regular ones but at least they have the chili flavor ones.

That is the only porter I've ever had.... a few years ago, a friend of mine highly recommended it, so I gave it a whirl. Not bad at all. I was expecting something like a Guinness, but it was better than that, IMHO... I'm not a fan of stouts, but some dark beers are excellent. Nice lambsfoot.... with what appears to be horn handles?

It's one of my favorite porters. The Walker's Reserve Porter from Firestone Walker is also a favorite, if you ever come across it.

Yup, those are buffalo horn handles. They've seen quite a bit of pocket time and are a bit dry and scuffed up. I should give it a spa day again one of these days.
