Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

It was OK Gary, but a little strange! 😁 I could taste the vanilla and (sour) strawberry, but not really chocolate. Your stout sounds pretty good :)

Wow! Great line-up, some really interesting-looking beers. I don't think I've ever seen a blonde porter. How was it Gary?
Thanks, Jack. :)
The blonde porter is actually very good, but my initial reaction was, "What's the point?" Porter tastes good to me, and having it be almost clear doesn't add anything to the experience. 🤓 But I'll probably buy more of it, despite its pointless blondness.

Maybe 'gentlemen' prefer it! :D I've always thought the same about black IPAs or lagers, assuming there's no change in flavour, what's the point? While less common than in the past, 'Mild' ale is very traditional in the part of Yorkshire I live in now, and comes in both light and dark varieties, while essentially being the same beer style, but they just vary from brewery to brewery. Timothy Taylors, who brewed the beer I've just opened, make a light-coloured mild to this day

I have to admit that I probably fall for the "dark lager" marketing to some extent. I think I'm more likely to give a positive rating to a dark lager than to an otherwise identical "golden" lager.

I guess that if none of us fell for them, they probably wouldn't make them :D :)
