Beverages and Blades - Traditional of Course

Not the correct glass for this beer, but tragically my last Tulip glass did not survive being knocked off the table some time ago! I love a good Flemish red, and this one is a treat - well balanced and full bodied, with that characteristic sour tang.

Shown is my GEC #33, a knife that I think I have carried continuously since purchase in August of 2020. I can’t say enough good things about it - lovely jigged scales, good selection of blades (though I would love another run with a Clip main and coping secondary!), and a size that just disappears in the pocket.

My Father’s Day present was catching the Cardinals single A team while they were in town with my daughter. I even caught a foul ball while she was coloring a picture for me.
Can't beat that Father's Day activity with a stick!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I spent the past 11 days in Minnesota, visiting our daughter for a few days at the start and at the end of our trip. (In fact she drove back to Michigan with us yesterday and will visit some friends before flying back to Minneapolis Thursday evening.) When we returned to her place after spending several days in St. Cloud last week, she presented me with some Black Butte Porter. I didn't take any photos (and I forgot to take the last couple of cans back home with me :(), but here's an old photo of a bottle of the same beer (with a Victorinox Farmer):

And here's a pic of the knife my daughter got me for Father's Day at an antique mall a week ago. It's a Sabre Hong Kong small stockman (with Mississippi River in St. Cloud MN in background):
